We were at the end of a long day, headed for Twin Falls, when we passed Cactus Petes - it looked inviting so we pulled in. Sure glad we did! All sites have grass, electricity, and water, plus some have sewer dumps. Very inexpensive. The casino has good restaurants, plus there's a "general store" right across the highway. We will make this a definite stop on our journeys through the area.
My wife and I have been here several days, and we don't want to leave (although we must). We love the beauty and the peace and quiet here. If the staff were any friendlier, I'd adopt them - especially the camp hosts, imported from Britain. The sites are roomy, and most have grass, water, and electricity - (there is a sewer dump station). The park is very near the South Fork of the Snake River. Facilities are clean and very well-maintained. Lots of places to walk the dogs.
This is a beautiful campground! We had a excellent view of the river from our rig. Full hookups, friendly staff, and well-maintained. Dare I say it's the "garden spot" of Redding? There are numerous paved bicycle paths in the area, (our favorite is along the Sacramento River), and many of them are quite long. We will definitely return here whenever we're in Redding or just passing through.
This RV Park is beautiful, right on Columbia River, Lots of green grass, and splendid views. Spaces are relatively private, even though the park was full. There were truly "good vibes" as people were enjoying the outdoors, swimming, boating, playing volleyball, and just sitting to watch scenery. As it should be. Sunset was spectacular! There is a paved 3-mile bike path right along the river,. We used it to ride to River Lodge Grill for brunch. This is one of those parks I truly did not want to leave, and we will be back.
