Very nice park. Not all sites are created equal here. Some are large & wide, others are very narrow. Well maintained grass between each site. We had a beautiful site that backed on a canal but it was only available for 3 nights. Most people are here for the winter.
RV park behind new lodge and adjacent to large bird sanctuary with lots of walking trails. Gorgeous sunsets. Facilities were always kept spotless. The young family that owns the place is extremely friendly. RV park also next to an mini-golf course. Sites are close together with no shade. Nice breeze off the lake though. Only two spots available for large rigs.
Considering the poor selection in the Denver greater area, this was a breath of fresh air. Sites have level cement pads surrounded by grass. There is a central section for short term stays and the longer term sites are scattered amongst the mobile homes. All sites are very well cared for and the park and facilities are very clean. There are a lot of large, old trees that provide much-needed shade. Children are allowed for 2 weeks at a time and have restricted times for the pool (outdoor, seasonal and heated). It is very close to a major route but the noise is minimal (the birds are louder). Highly recommended and very reasonable. We paid monthly so I cannot remember the daily rate. They are on a waiting list to have Wifi installed in 2006.
We stayed here for 2 months, one when it was full in the high season, and a month later when it was nearly empty. While it was obviously more enjoyable when almost empty, every RV park in the area is full in Jan/Feb. The amenities were very clean and the pool was warm. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The portables where the computers were are dated and small, but the recreation hall was spacious and clean. The RV park had very few permanent trailers left and the sites were very well kept with concrete patios and grass.
Very well maintained older park (formally called Trailer Village). Many older park models which they are fazing out each year. Wide level paved spaces. Excellent facilities with heated pools & hottubs. Many planned activities in the winter. Front desk staff mistake-prone but pleasant.
The owner proudly calls this a resort but the only two features provided are WIFI and a dog walk (access to an alley out the back gate). The restrooms and sites were very clean as it is a relatively new park. Sites are very narrow and the park is very tight to maneuver through. In the perimeter sites, it is necessary to park your tow vehicle in front of your rig if you have a slide. Rigs over 30ft should use the pull-thru spots. There are no extra parking spots in the park and they are sticklers about keeping your vehicles within the site lines. Sites are concrete but deliberately not level "as required for water drainage".
Very wide, level gravel sites, many separated with grass & trees. Very clean facilities. Close to town without the freeway noise other RV parks suffer from. Don't let the unattractive entrance put you off. Nice grass section to walk pets.
Rustic, wooded campground on a steep hillside. Level, wide gravel spots. Very clean facilities, & a seasonal outdoor pool. A screened-in public room with a pool table, picnic tables, and video game machines is a plus. Very pleasant owners who work non-stop at the maintenance. Plans were to pave the main road in Sept 2004. Even though it is just off the highway, there is NO noise due to the thick foliage. Highly recommend this campground.
