For what we wanted, this park was fine. We were just there to visit with friends who live in Albuquerque and were only there in the evening. The price was right as Coast to Coast Members; Enchanted Trails is a Good Neighbor Park with that organization. The sites are rough, not terribly level; picnic tables are old and not in great condition. If you are looking for a "destination" RV Park, with lots to do, this is not the park for you. For a place to stay while you see the sights in and around Albuquerque, it serves the purpose well.
Management very friendly and accommodating; we liked the idea of being able to eat at the park for a reasonable fee. Nice grassy sites and good picnic tables. Black top pads were a little rough and cracked, but fairly level. Good Wi-Fi reception and FREE. Cable TV included in the rates. Close to the highway, so, of course, there was highway noise. Easy access off and back on Interstate 40.
This park is really rough; electrical hookups showed in the "red" on our in-house monitor. We had to be very careful to not use more than one appliance at a time. For an overnight stop, it served the purpose, but we thought in retrospect, that we would have felt safer in a truck stop!! The manager was very pleasant and accommodating, but the surroundings were sketchy to say the least!
They have many advertising billboards indicating they have cable TV, but after we had already paid for a water and electric site, we found out that cable was only available if you paid for a full hook up site. It would have been nice if we had been told that up front. Sites are a little small and close together. We felt the rates were a little pricey, but we were just outside Santa Fe which is a pretty pricey place in general!!
This is a fabulous park that we would recommend for overnight or longer. It definitely would rank as one of the best RV parks at which we have stayed in our 11 years of full-timing. We used Passport America for our one night stay, but the rates are extremely reasonable even without Passport America. Free Wi-Fi, cable and laundry plus huge pull-through sites combined with nice landscaping, friendly staff and dinner and breakfast available at low cost make this park a real winner.
We have stopped at this campground many times and have had sites throughout the park. We have always found the staff helpful and courteous. The pool is great and the proximity to historic sites definitely is a plus. The addition of WIFI was a pleasant surprise on our most recent visit.
