This is the better of two campgrounds in the Aiken area. We stayed here a month for personal reasons. Very nice old gentleman owns the place but is physically unable to manage. The monthly rate is very reasonable and includes electric and cable. Our site only had 30Amps, but 50Amps is available. Mostly mobile homes and semi permanent old trailers with occasional transient big rigs. Could be fixed up with a little effort.

Small campground on a main highway. It has many worker types in older trailers. Very quiet, owners are pleasant, hard working and appear to be making improvements as they can. The pull through site we were on had a new electric panel 50/30/20 but most others were older type single amps. The gravel on the site is well past needing enhancing. Sites are not well marked. But we will stay here again.

Prices were raised as of Oct 1st, although both their own website and the signboard in the office reflected the old price the women at the desk would not relent on the NEW $15 higher price. The site (gold 3) was narrow, very unlevel and next door to a junkyard. The grounds are not well kept and the many permanent/long term residents were in old run down rigs.

Very friendly staff. But, facilities were in poor condition, electric posts falling over, sewer covers missing, sites very uneven. Many sites were apparently long term, old dirty and unkempt trailers. The few sites that might be pull thru, were for small RV's and it was necessary for me to back out to the gate before I could turn around. OK for families with kids, but not worth the price.

Campground is more than a mile up an unpaved, overgrown and unkempt dirt road. We called to check available site and gave the our dimensions and were told to come. We were not told that the one spot available for a 36', triple slide would be two campsites side by side. Next morning when attempting to leave, we were boxed in by overgrown trees which a fellow camper was kind enough to cut enough limps to get me out. Backing out was not possible. My souvenir is many new scratches on my motorhome. On the other hand the owners were friendly and they have installed new cabins if that is your thing. Not for big rigs!

Good spot for day trips in White Mountains. Owners friendly and helpful. Sites are close and heavily wooded with rough and hilly access roads.
