We loved this campground. It is quiet, clean, well run, and very pleasant. We were right on the river which was delightful. The rest rooms were sparkling clean, and the staff was helpful. Don't bring a pet with you if you're staying in a cabin. My daughter brought hers and was asked by an employee if she was planning to board her dog in town. (No extra charge for the sarcasm). We were able to keep him with us at our RV site. We will stay here again, for sure.
Everything about this park was top notch. The only 'con' is that it is right next to the I-5 so there was a lot of freeway noise. The pool was glorious (if a little warm) and the staff was excellent. We would stay here again.
This is a good park for people with motor boats and kids. They were all enjoying themselves. We found it to be a bit noisy with little enforcement of 'quiet hours'. Our neighbors had quite an argument going at 1:00 a.m. Sites were not private at all and pretty close together. The authors of the book, "The Lusty Life and Adventures of Loon Lake Lloyd"live at the back of the campground. Ellen Keeland is busy on their place and happy for visitors to come say hello. She's delightful and the book is a hoot.
We visited this park via a Thousand Trails membership. Park looks very pretty, sites were spacious and shady. Many of the sewer sites were unavailable for various reasons (?). The whole place was VERY buggy. The pool was wonderful and the kids were good about observing 'Adult Hours' but they were in the hot tub all day long with no interference from management. Staff was friendly. Activities Center had good WiFi reception and the proximity to Florence was great. It was pretty noisy from all the nearby ATVs but that's to be expected. Shower area could have been cleaner. We didn't love it but would stay here again.
