The site's needed a little gravel repairs, but overall the roads were well graded. We were on a pull through site in the middle of the park. We traveled in a group and ended up having a 20' car trailer behind our 1ton crew cab 8' bed truck and our 43' fifth wheel on the pull through site, so several of their lots are very long. Nice people, fun store of knick-nacks, rocks, and antiques. Don't forget to tour the cavern, discounted for campers with a unique cave path layout. We stayed 4 days, but were gone most of the time. I would recommend it for an overnight, or base camp setup, other than the shop and cavern there's not much to do onsite, but even with the closeness to the highway it was quiet. Will go back again.
Stayed on Lot 73, you can hear the ocean over any traffic. Caught a couple bass and brim, catch and release in the ponds. Level concrete pads on all sites. Got swarmed by mosquitoes at dusk, not sure if it was the season or an all time issue. Looking forward to going back in early spring and/or late fall.
We stayed over Labor Day weekend. The summer help was rude, but the seasoned employees were great. The food at the grill/game room was good and decently priced. Their camp store was well stocked, and sale pricing on RV items was fair. The pools were clean, the putt-putt course well worn, paddles boats decent, and road system well maintained. We will camp there again.
It is very clean, with tons of fresh stone on the lots and roadways. The staff was friendly, a new pool was in place but not open. It is very convenient to I-95, Bass Pro Shops, and a well stocked truck stop.It is not a destination (but they appear to be upgrading that) but a great place for passing through. We stayed Fri & Sat nights and will stay there again.
