This is a nice park but wasn't great for our needs. We travel for work, so the amenities are what we look for: cable, internet, full sewer, etc. were not available. This is a great spot for people looking to 'get away' from it all. That's not our thing, so I wasn't crazy about it. But all in all, it is a nice campground. If you just want to fish, or kick back by an open fire--this is the place.
This is the best RV park we've been to and we've been to about 10 different parks in about 6 or 7 states. The park is clean, well maintained, lots of staff, very helpful. All the amenities you want out of an RV park: full hook ups, 2 pools (1 for adults only), cable, internet, etc. Propane on site is the cheapest around. Showers are clean and spacious. Laundry facility is great. Nice dog park. They were building a children's park just as we were pulling out. We stayed here from March-June 2009 and we would certainly come back if we're in the area again.
We loved this park. We only stayed here for about 10 days, but we wish we could have stayed longer. The pool was awesome. It's 'L' shaped with the short end being very shallow for kids and then a ledge for a drop off where it begins to gradually deepen. We have 3 little kids, so our entire family enjoyed spending all day in the pool. There's also a nice playground area for the kids near the pool. The sites are out in the open for the most part, so there's not a whole lot of shade, but the grounds were clean and neat. The staff was friendly.
At first we weren't thrilled with the idea of staying here, but it ended up being not so bad. The sites we were all grassy and sometimes overgrown, but at other times kept up pretty well. The pool was very, very small but at least they had one. The campground is located literally right next to the interstate, which is great access, but if you don't like highway noise, you won't like this place. We did enjoy our time here, so it wasn't a bad place at all.
This was a clean park and was very pet friendly with a nice, large fenced in dog run. The sites were clean, grassy, and flat with concrete pads, but very little shade with small trees. The staff was borderline friendly but nonetheless it sufficed. It's about 15 minutes North of Montgomery with good access to the highways and a lot of major retail/restaurants nearby.
We stayed here only 2 nights, but were not impressed. The sites were unkempt, rustic and closely cramped. There was a lot of 'junk yard' debris strewn around and a lot yard gnomes and trinkets around. The campground road was uneven gravel and hilly and windy. Anyone with a camper longer than our 32 footer might have a hard time navigating around with the low hanging trees and sharp turns. All that said, the owners were nice.
We loved this campground. It was the 4th campground we stayed at in as many months as we travel for work. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very family oriented and the grounds were neatly kept and it was a pretty area. We stayed in the seasonal area and the sites were pretty spacious.
