This is a great one night stop north of Atlanta right off I-75. This is our 3rd time staying north of Atlanta and so far it’s the best we have found. It's a quarter mile from the highway so there is no road noise. The newer sites are long and well setup. The check-in was easy and the free popcorn was a big hit with the kids. We will stay here again on our way to Florida.

This was our first time staying at this park and we really liked it. We have 2 kids, ages 9 and 13 and there was plenty to do such as, free pool table, ping pong and shuffle board. The screened in pool was a nice size and was very clean. The staff and management were very friendly and helpful. We happened to mention to a staff member on check in what we liked to do and she pulled out the significant brochures/pamphlets and had them delivered to our site. We had one of the paved sites and it was very spacious and clean. We would stay here again.

Reading some of the prior posting, I do agree with the tight roads leading into the campground. I think we were given one of the worst sites they had, as it was too small for a 38’ 5th wheel. I was told their staff would guide us into the site and I repeatedly asked if I should slide my 5th wheel hitch back to allow for tighter maneuvering and I was told it wasn’t that tight and I didn’t need to do that. In my second attempt to back the 5th wheel in, I asked the campground staff member if my blind side was clear and he told me it was. Well, I nearly tore off my rear stabilizer jack that was on my blind side. If my wife wouldn’t have walked up I would have completely tore it off. He apologized and told me to bend it back. I have tried numerous times to talk with the campground owner, but he would not see me while we were there and will not take my calls either. With my “wife’s” help, we finally got the 5th wheel in, but could not use the picnic table and my slides all on the site, as it was too small. They were full and did not have any other sites available during the time period we were there. If we would have had a different site, and their employee would not have knowingly allowed me to back into debris, I would have rated this campground higher.

We traveled to Maryland to visit Washington DC and selected this campground due to its proximity to the Metro station (end point for Metro Bus route). The first site we were given was too small for our 5th wheel and we called the office from our truck and they gave us 2 other sites to check out and were told to take the site we liked the best. While the 2nd site was larger it also backed up to a freeway and it was very loud. I liked the fact the campground had a recycling program for waste, in my experience most do not. The pool and the bathrooms were very clean and in nice condition, I would have liked to see them do a better job of mowing the lawn. Overall, I would stay at this campground again.

We have stayed at this KOA campground several times, normally on a return trip from Florida, but since they have raised their prices, I don’t think I will come back. The campground is in need of some repairs and I feel $47.00 a night for water and electric seems too high for a campground in this kind of condition.

Most of the above reviews were very accurate. Some of the loops were very tight and hard to get a large unit into and out of. A 5th wheel in front of us broke out a window on a tree branch trying to drive down their loop. We have a 34ft travel trailer and we could not open both our slides and our awning. The camp ground was not full, so they gave us several different sites to check out and after our 3rd site, we found a great site. For whatever reason, the 1600/1700/1800/1900 loops pads are not level to the ground. The four of us all tripped at least once during our 7 day stay. Over all, Disneys camp ground was a great place.

We spent a week at this campground and found it to be quite nice. They have a nice pool and hot tub. The bathrooms and showers are clean and we always had hot showers. They have a nice playground and basketball hoop. The roads are paved and the sites were paved. It is tight to get in and out of with a long trailer. They do charge $2.00 a day extra for running your air conditioner. We wanted to have a campfire but the front campsites share two fire pits which are right next to each other. While we were there one family decided that the fire pit was theirs and were there every night. The other fire pit was nearly 3 ft from the other so we would have been sitting on top of the other family. We enjoyed the great bike path which is accessible from the campground driveway.

Stony Haven? My kids call it dirty haven. This was probably one of the dirtiest campgrounds that we have stayed at. We waited too long to get reservations at any other campgrounds over Labor Day weekend. While the campground owners were nice, and they would have done anything for you, the park could use a good cleaning and they need to cut down some trees. Although it was sunny when we were there, the sun never made it down to the park because of the many trees. My kids went to play on the playground and came back with grease on their clothes and more dirt. The showers and restrooms were ok at best. There was nothing to do. We did rent one of their pedal cars and found that it was again very dirty and hanging together with twine. Fun ride! We were thankful that it did not rain because then it would have become muddy haven. We will never return to this campground.

After hearing a lot of good things about this park, we decided to give it a try. While it was a nice park, it was not our style. It was just too big. We had a hard time backing into our site because there were so many people and they would not stay clear of our truck. Maybe if we were in the back of the park, we would have had a different experience. The showers were another thing, you had to stand there and push the button to keep the water running and it was mostly cold. It looks like they added sites without adding bathrooms and shower capacity. This is an example of bigger is not always better.

We camped here on Memorial Day 2005. While the park in still not complete, it is a very nice park. Some of the roads are very tight and hard to back in a longer trailer, the individual campsites are great. The showers are clean, but would prefer an area were we could get the kids dressed in private (its a large locker room style). The other bath house was locked, because it was in an undeveloped area. I only had one complaint, they had just opened a new section for the busy holiday weekend and they did not have all the bugs out of the systems just yet. We did not have power at our site until about 10:00 pm on our first night and the water pressure was pretty bad as well. The camp ground management was understanding, but was slow to do anything to help fix the issues. I am confident that once they get things fully opened they will have all the bugs out of the system and it will be a great place to camp.

We camped here in April 2005 and it was an excellent campground. We have 2 kids 5 and 9, they loved the beach and the paved path ways to ride their bikes on. This is by far the best campground we have been in so far. We will be back in 2007.
