We've stayed at Rainbow Point before. It is nice to have the electricity in a forest campground. The camp hosts are attentive and friendly and it is very quiet. Not to far from West Yellowstone and right on Hebgen Lake.
This is a Bureau of Reclamation campground located on the east side of Canyon Ferry Lake. The campsites are right on the lake shore and are sand or grass and shade or not--site dependent. There is no charge to use the campground and there is a clean well supplied pit toilet. It was very quiet when we camped here (during the week) and the cranes that flew in were an added attraction.
Beautiful campground with large, paved, level sites. The host kept the restrooms clean and it was generally a very nice experience. However, the host did not/would not enforce the quiet hours so one night there was a loud, drunken party until midnight and the next there were children outside yelling until almost midnight.
The majority of this campground is long-term or permanent campers. Most of the sites are kept neat, but toward the back of the park there are a few sites that seem to be permanent (one had six dogs) and those are pretty trashy. The owners are congenial and hard-working, but they are trying to do it all themselves and some maintenance and cleaning (bathrooms, showers, picnic tables)are suffering as a result.
Two very small bathrooms for 157 RV, cabin, and tent sites. AND the bathrooms are very small, outdated, and not very clean. They say they clean them twice daily, but with this heavy usage it never looks like cleaning has been done. The sites are on dirt and not particularly level. We had good Wi-Fi reception using our Jetpack. This place is definitely overpriced for what is offered.
This was a good campsite for a forest service campground. The service generally keeps the bathrooms at the trailheads and camps clean and well-stocked. However, because Little Joe has so few sites I guess, they didn't clean it or stock it very well. We were out of toilet paper within four days of the maintenance visit. Little Joe is right on the highway, but there was very little noise from traffic.
This is a very small campground near Swan Lake. The owners/managers are congenial and helpful. The baths/showers are "singles", so it is good that this campground only has seven sites. The bath/showers are old, but reasonably clean. The sites are shaded and level and we were able to get internet using our JetPak
This is a campground in the forest just 5 miles from Hamilton. The host is conscientious and helpful and keeps the pit toilets reasonably clean. The campground has only six sites and is within walking distance of two hiking trails. There is NO charge to use this campground.
This is a forest campground with no amenities but there is no charge. The bathrooms aren't particularly clean, but they are supplied with toilet paper and don't have an overwhelming odor. A moose walked through our campsite one evening.
Nice campground with a clean and modern laundry, toilets, and showers. There are several permanent residents in older mobile homes and it is situated close to a highway. The lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful.
This is a Forest Service campground. It is small and located on Big Elk Creek. There is hiking, fishing, and boating in the area. The camp host/hostess are very nice and take good care of the camp. There aren't many amenities, but for a primitive campground, it is clean and well run.
This is a really crowded RV park, which is no surprise considering it is located near Zion Canyon. The canyon shuttle stops right outside the RV park and makes it easy to get around the area. The management was very nice about putting our camper and tents in adjacent sites. The kids enjoyed the pool and the showers/restrooms were clean.
A park service run campground. It is large, but the campsites are separated enough to give a feeling of privacy. Only complaint would be that they don't enforce the quiet hours and there was a big party going on near us until very late.
Nice campground and they were very accommodating about putting our camper and tents in adjacent sites. Only complaint would be that they don't enforce the quiet hours and the tenters next to us were playing music and pounding on things well after midnight.
Wow! The baths/showers here are luxurious. A really nice park with paved pads and easy parking. The staff is quick and efficient. Only drawbacks are the proximity to interstate noise and the lighting which is on all night.
Packed in here like a bunch of sardines. It's a long way to the baths/showers, but they are clean and modern. The office staff is friendly and competent. Sites are on dirt/gravel. The foghorns and close proximity makes this a noisy campground.
Come on. For the price they charge, we should not have to pay extra for the showers! The showers and baths are clean and very nice, but the sites are dirt and some are far from the showers/baths. Also, this camp doesn't take credit cards, so you either plan far enough in advance to send a check or show up and hope they have room for you.
We had the campground entirely to ourselves and it was so-o-o quiet. We are behind the fairground buildings in a very grassy site and the utilities work very well. It's only problem is the bath/shower rooms which haven't recovered from the recent county fair and are not very clean.
Quiet campground in a park-like setting. The staff (which appears to be one person) is friendly. capable, and accommodating. The baths, showers and laundry are very clean. I'm only giving this a lower score because there is no cable, the WiFi is extremely slow, and there are PAY showers. I haven't run into pay showers in a campground in years.
Granted it was a holiday weekend and the camp was packed, but there seemed to be plenty of staff around. However, they cleaned the baths and showers ONCE a day and no more. With that many tent campers, children using the pool, and people camped in tents, once a day was not enough and the bathrooms were constantly packed, out of supplies, and the floors were slippery with water. This camp is not worth the money.
This is super! Large paved spaces and lots of room between campsites. It is a really nice, clean park-like atmosphere and the host is friendly, hardworking, and informative. It doesn't have showers or Wi-Fi, but since we travel with our own, it doesn't matter. Still that is the reason we didn't give a full ten points.
Not a good place. The hookups worked fine, but the staff was very unfriendly. The bathroom (note the singular) was consistently stocked with toilet paper and paper towels, but no cleaning ever took place. The floors and walls in the bath and shower were extremely dirty and the shower (note singular) dripped a steady stream of water day and night.
DON'T camp here. Most of the park is taken up by permanent, very old, poorly maintained mobile homes. This place is a slum. We had no problem with the electricity or water, but the bathrooms are a disgrace. Every toilet is broken/wobbles. The floors and sinks haven't been maintained or cleaned in a long time, BUT the bathrooms are great compared to the showers which have no doors, are leaking, and are filthy.
This is a large, quiet, beautifully landscaped campground. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the grounds are well maintained and clean. The baths and showers are also well maintained and "squeaky" clean. The only draw-back to this park is that there is one bathroom which is centrally located. If you are not near that bathroom, it is quite a hike to use it.
Nice campground. It is a combination of permanent and transient campers and all units are fairly new and/or well maintained. The staff is super friendly and very efficient. Baths and showers aren't lavish, but they are maintained and clean.
This is a country operated park. It has lots of camping, both RV and tent. It is generally pretty quiet unless the foghorns become active. We never saw a host or employee, so I cannot comment on the staffing. The bathrooms and showers are a disgrace. The showers haven't been maintained or cleaned in a very long time. The baths are slightly better, although the pressure from so many campers is great and the cleanliness is spotty. I understand the baths in the group sites are better, but they are far from most of the campers.
This is a quiet campground in a beautiful, garden-like setting. The staff is super friendly and helpful. If this campground has any drawbacks, it is the outdated bathrooms and showers. They are just too old and too small to handle the number of people camping here.
This is a combo mobile home and RV park, although most of the RVs seem to be here for a long term stay. Both types of units are either fairly new or are reasonably well maintained. This park is OK, but it certainly isn't spectacular. The staff is friendly and helpful, the baths aren't squeaky clean but they are OK, but the laundry room is a "pit". However, there are beautiful trees here.
This is a great RV camp. It is clean, well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give this park a 10 is because of its proximity to I5 which is busy and noisy 24/7.
