This is a favorite place to go any time of the year. You have a feeling of being in the mountains when you are actually at the beach. Lots of places to visit in the area, too. A day trip to Montana de Oro is a must.
The owners and other folks who work there are very nice. There was a great deal of puddles due to a large amount of rain and I know that couldn't be helped. Sites are pretty close together so everyone has to be considerate of their neighbors. Our neighbor next to us had 2 large dogs. We never saw him walk the dogs. Just chained them up outside his 5th wheel several times a day so they could relieve themselves. Their chains were pretty long so we couldn't get things out of our MH compartments if the dogs were out. Plus we risked stepping in soggy dog waste. Two times we asked maintenance to pick up piles, in our campsite, and they did. The office did offer to move us to another site but we didn't want to unhook, etc., to move. In 40 years of camping I don't think we've seen such an inconsiderate dog owner.
