We stayed here one night while traveling. The normal rate is $24, but we paid $12 using Passport America. Front desk staff was friendly. We did not use the pool, but it sure looked like it was calling our names. I wish we would have had time to use it. The sites were gravel and grass and mostly level. When I took our dog for a walk she got stickers in her feet. If in the area we would stop again for an overnight stop. There is a casino close by, but we did not go.
We got there late, and the office person happened to be in the pool, so she opened up to check us in. She was very friendly. Several people were in the pool, and it looked very refreshing. Our site was level, and everything worked well. We were not on the river side, but we could see the river. The regular rate was $34, but we paid $17 by using Passport America. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We were only here one night but would be happy to stay longer.
This was a one night stop over using Passport America. Normal rate is $22, but we paid $11. It was a very well kept park with many permanent residents. The sites had grass, and it was freshly cut. The restrooms and showers were very clean, and the gentleman that checked us in was very friendly. The next morning while I was walking our dog, he spoke to me by name. We would stay here again during our travels.
This was one of those quick in and quick out overnight stays. Office staff was very friendly. Park had a lot of permanents but their sites were well kept so that was no problem. I gave a rating of 8 because our site was not very level. Would we stay here again? YES. It is easy to get to from the highway.
Passport America rate. We stayed here two nights and will stay again if in the area. The lady in the office was very informative, friendly, and helpful. The sites for overnighters are in full sun, but our a/c worked fine. The club house was very nice with a large screen TV and nice seating, well kept pool table and ping pong table. The pool was very clean and a good size. The only complaints we had were the grass stickers. These little suckers seemed to jump up and plant themselves in my Crocs. I changed to hard soled tennis shoes and that helped.
Very nice. Lady in the office was very friendly and helpful. This park was easy off and back onto I-35. It was very quiet and the permanent people were also friendly. We would without a doubt stay here again.
Our rate was for Passport America. It was a very nice park and everything worked very well. The water pressure was about 60 PSI, so I adjusted me water pressure regulator to cut it back a bit. We were told the park and golf course was for sale and in fact was under contract. The possible new owner told the employees the first thing he would do was raise the rates. I would suggest you call first and check the rates. If rates do not skyrocket we would definitely stay there again if in the area.
Since we were here last year they have started building a small community room. This is a very quiet park with mostly long-term people. However, different than many with long-term it is very well kept up, neat and clean. The residents are very friendly and helpful. They have three pull-through sites for over-nighters. If I were traveling through this area and needed a one night stop it would certainly be here. It is also a nice place to spend some time.
Price is based on a monthly rate of $245. The restrooms and showers are very clean. Spots are narrow but they stagger where you park with in effect gives you two sites. Sites are gravel and level or close to being level. This park is 3 1/2 miles from the main entrance to Bennett Spring State Park where you can fish for trout. There are restaurants close by. We will stay here if in the area again.
This is the third time we have stayed here over several years. They have more level concrete sites each time we come. They offer a free shuttle to and from the shows in Branson. That is a nice perk. We will stay here again if in the area.
Very nice RV park. The sites are close to level and full hookup. You can fish (catch and release) at the on-site lake (bass, crappie, bream, catfish) for free. Don't swim or catch the two resident gators. One is 3 foot and the other 5 foot. We would stay here again if in the area.
This is one of the nicest RV Resorts we have stayed at. All concrete with all pull through full hookup sites plus cable. In the morning for 7 to 9 they have a breakfast like you would get at a motel. Even had "Texas" waffles. They came out in the shape of Texas. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
The rate is for one of the largest lots for three months. This is a 55+ park which we are. Everyone is very friendly. There are many activities. The park is very well kept and has easy access. If in this area next winter we will stay here again.
Very nice spots with concrete patios. I could not ask for a more friendly park. We had broken the wiring harness from the motorhome to car and they and another long term camper did all they could to help us. The office staff went above and beyond what I would have expected. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. This was a Passport America price.
The name of the park sure fits. It is very nice and quiet. The only reason I rated with 8 instead of 10 is that there are no restrooms or showers. We paid $12.50 a night for three nights which is the Passport America rate. The maximum PA nights is 3. Everything worked just as it should. The people in the park seemed friendly. We would probably stay here again if in the area.
It is hard for me to rate this park. We arrived in a downpour and it was not much better the next morning. The gentleman in the office was very friendly and led me to your spot. Everything that we used worked. The spot was gravel. I only saw one cement spot. This was a Passport America price. We would probably stay here again if in the area.
This campground if right off of Interstate 29 in Saint Joseph, Missouri at exit 53. Mainly long term residents but several sites saved for overnight or short term. Even with the long term it is a very well kept park. All the residents are friendly. There is only one restroom and shower but most of the permanent residents use their own. It is very clean. There are two washers and two dryers. Price is $1.50 each. I would stay here again when in the area. There are three parks in the immediate area and this is by far the nicest one in my opinion.
This is our second stay at this park. Staff was very friendly. Everything is paved, well lit and well maintained. All utilities were in very good condition. The restrooms and showers were some of the cleanest we have seen. The have a free shuttle (cannot accept tips) that will pick you up at one of the two restrooms and take to to the casino and bring you back. I recommend this park if you are in the area.
Rate was $34 minus the Good Sam discount. Staff were VERY friendly. Upon arrival I was led to my site which overlooked one of the lakes. They sell very good pizza in their store and even delivered it to my site just like at home. The store was very well stocked with about anything a person could want (RV supplies, fishing, food, beer, wine, spirits, clothes). They have an outdoor pool which is covered and heated. Many walking trails. I will come back. It is a ways from Interstate 29, but worth the drive. They also have cabins for rent and you can rent golf carts.
The $18 fee was for the Passport America rate. This is by far the best RV park we have stayed in yet. They are constantly upgrading. Most of the pads are newly concreted up and close to level. The utilities all worked perfectly. I never saw anyone cleaning the restrooms, showers, or laundry room, but they were always clean. The laundry room is quite large and what appear to be newer machines. I talked with another camper that rented a car from the park. That is a nice perk. The swimming pool was very clean like everything else and nice. There is a restaurant on site that has a good breakfast buffet for $4.95. I liked the fact that the scrambled eggs were the real thing and not that mix so many use. We will consider thsi our home park the next time we are in Branson. We have stayed at others, but this will be the only one in the future.
First, don't follow a GPS in order to get to this park. It brought us over two rough gravel roads. That is not the fault of the park. The check in was handled very well by a very friendly and courteous lady. They have a nice store which is well stocked with grocery items and other things. They had hot dogs and pizza which we did not try. The had some kind of special with pizza and a pitcher of beer. That sounded good, but we did not have time for it either. The sites were very roomy. All roads and sites inside the park were gravel. Front to back our site was quite level but the gravel was not as wide as it could have been from side to side and we had to level one side more than the other. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the restrooms, showers, and store. The entire park was very well maintained and very quiet. We did not have any children with us on this trip. They had a very nice pool which was larger than most and like every thing else, very well maintained. There was a nice playground with about everything a kid would want plus one of those bouncy inflated rooms. If we were to be in this area again, we would stay here again.
This is a very quiet place to come. The park hosts were very nice and very visible. They came through the park very often. There is a access controlled gate which we like. There is a small like on site with pan fish in it. This is one of our favorite places to come in the Kansas City area. The swimming beach and boat ramp and marina is within a short drive.
The nightly rate for full hookups is $25 minus a $2 per night discount for handicap. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Firewood was priced at $4.50 for approximately 15 pieces which is far better than a lot of places we have been. We stayed on Memorial Day weekend and the campground was very quiet at night and only the sound of children playing during the day. They have a laundry room but we did not use it or even look at it. Blue Springs lake is within five minutes of the park. We have stayed here in past years and will definitely stay here again.
This is a state park campground so the amenities are few. The restrooms on the whole are kept clean. I haven't used the showers. We stay here about one weekend a month during the summer months. Our cell phone (Verizon) does not have coverage here so it is a nice break and get away. Sprint and a couple of others do have reception. There is a lake within the park, but the swimming area is always closed due to the Canadian geese and what they leave behind (:. People still use it regardless of the closed signs, but after talking with the ranger, I would not. There is not a whole lot close by, but it is a nice place to chill out.
We had a wonderful week long stay here in 2008. It is a very quiet and peaceful campground well away from the highway. When we were there, the road in was good but gravel. I see that it is now asphalt. That will be real nice. We enjoyed the pool. The rest rooms and showers were kept clean. We used the laundry facilities early in the day and they were not busy. One night during the week they have a steak night and grill steaks. We had other plans and missed it but our neighbor said it was GREAT. If in the area again, we will definitely stay there.
We parked in the back row which was right next to the railroad tracks and at times noisy. If we had needed it, the side was very well shaded. The staff was VERY helpful and friendly. The restrooms and showers were very CLEAN. The new Branson Landing along the lake (looks like a river to me) is within walking distance. It is a bit of a walk but a lot to look at along the way. We will definitely stay there again.
