This was not as nice as most parks we visit. The office was closed, but it was only about 4:30 or so in the PM. A gentleman came in a cart and showed us to a site. I had to pay him cash without a receipt and change was not available, so lucky I had exact change. It was a pretty dirty and old looking campground. We only stayed one night. We went into town and got hamburgers for dinner which made me happy as we generally have a BBQ outdoors, but I just didn't feel comfortable in the site at this campground. A strange man sat in the RV next door to us just gazing out the window watching every move (kind of creepy). The grand kids did use the pool. We were the only ones here. They had a wonderful time swimming. I would definitely find a different place to stay next time through Lake Havasu.
WOW!!! Loved it!! Could not wish for a more perfect place to spend a few days with the kids and my husband. We spent 3 nights and were not ready to leave. Gorgeous place to walk. Seven lakes for fishing. One lake has paddle boats and the kids loved that. There are ducks and birds everywhere, which are fun to watch and feed. The walking trails are paved and picnic tables and benches are around different areas of the lakes and campground. We stayed in site #14 which I picked on the internet. We loved it because it was right on the water of lake #6 and we only had neighbors on one side. Our campsite was large and under a couple of big trees for shade. They do have a pool, it was a bit chilly for us to swim. We did use the laundry and it was very clean and updated equipment. Nice helpful staff. You pay each day to fish, but the rates were not bad, six dollars for the kids and nine dollars for adults. We visited Sea World one day and it was a 20 minute drive and easy to get to and back to the campground. Will definitely try to get back to this campground and stay more than 3 days next time. We didn't have bikes, but would be a great place for bike riding.
We often travel through Flagstaff and have stayed at this campground 3 different times for just an evening each when passing through. It is a beautiful campground in a mountain setting. They have helpful staff and for an evening to have a BBQ, relax and hit the road again, you cannot ask for a better place. We will definitely stay here many more times when traveling through the area. It is easy to find.
We only had one night at this campground, but I wish we had stayed here a few more nights. We had the greatest site right on the river and the views were spectacular. You walk just a little way from the campground to get on a bus and tour Zion National Park. What a gorgeous place. There were kids playing in the river and the whole atmosphere was joyful, relaxing and family oriented. Very clean and very nice place to camp. We will definitely try to get back to this campground and stay a few days next time.
This campground is nice and clean, the people were helpful and pleasant. We stayed here just for one night to see two national parks. We drove through the Arches National Park the day we arrived and the next day when we checked out we drove through the Canyonlands National Park. It was so convenient to both parks and the parks are really nice, so would definitely recommend if passing this way you take the time to view the parks and this RV spot is a great place for a night or two.
