This is an OK place to say for one night if you use your own bathroom and shower. Showers are very tight and no place to put your stuff down. They are outdated, and are not very good. Facility has a new pool, but grounds need some work. For the money, site worked just fine and people were friendly. Other campground down the road is nicer, but we had a lot of train noise there last time we stayed. This one was quiet. Not sure I would stay here again.
This is a nicely maintained park, decent sites. Unfortunately, it is located on a swamp and bugs are everywhere at night. Owners are nice, pool is warm and showers are pretty good. Definite smell of swamp everywhere. This one is hard to rate, and it's a different park at night if you are outside. If you stay in air conditioning and don't come out after dark, this is a great park. Otherwise, get ready to flush out the water bugs and mosquitoes. They are very, very thick.
We have stayed at this campground many times over the years, and are sad to see it being run down. The pool was green (we did not choose to use it) the grass in the sites is dying as the sites are not made for today's big rigs. The garbage piles up and in general is it not being well maintained. Restrooms are still decent, but that is about it. This was our favorite campground, and used to be a real gem. Sad to see it go downhill Unfortunately, in Estes Park there isn't much to choose from, and this is about the best around the area. It's a decent place to stay if you're expectations aren't too high. Wi-Fi is passable, cell service spotty.
