We were going to be here for only one night, then after finding there was a lot to do in the area, it became another night. A trip to the old town of Rheyolite and into Death Vally was a pleasant surprise. We a found drive through the fabulous geology of Titus Canyon via a 26-mile one way dirt/gravel path that wound up into the main Death Valley area. We will stay at the Space Station RV Park again one day to explore some more.
The only thing not about this park is the road to it. Other than that, the restrooms, very clean played pool and enjoyed the time out and off the road for a while. Hosts' were all very nice and accommodating, plus helped thaw out my water lines, -10 degs was a bit cool. Highly recommend, and will go back one day . Highway noise, very minimal and we were backed up to the fence.
We stayed here January and into the first part of February, We had a better rate as we were a smaller unit and did not use much electricity. The owner is a very accommodating man and the manager is very welcoming. A TV room with coffee on and plenty of book trading for reading. Although the parking and roadways are a packed gravel it is a real clean place. Typical of New Mexico RV parks. Close to shopping and the local area is very a historical place to visit. We used this area for travel to Mexico. We would stay here again and strongly recommend it.
The owner was helping hook up and wanted us to have our TV hooked up. We don't have one? Anyway great stay, small town, good services and they have a hot tub for the adults to enjoy, which we did. We used Passport America! The time we were there, there was a couple in a car and small tent, the car had broke down and the owner had allowed this small family to stay free and got help for food from the local towns people. Owner arranged a mechanic to check out the problem for no cost and transportation back to Kansas. I would stay here again.
The owners are very welcoming and helpful in almost any situation. The evening ice cream social is a very welcome and fun gathering of people from every where. It is a horse riding area and with that in mind we saw many good looking animals. Pets are welcome and a very strict rule about the pets and horses in the grounds, no horses in the camping area, and pets MUST be cleaned up after. Good directions for all areas are available from the owner/managers.
