This is a gated RV resort and they do have strict rules that they expect you to follow. You have to put up a $10.00 deposit for a gate key and a $10.00 deposit for a bathroom key that is refundable. They charge $1.00 per day per pet and we travel with two dogs, so that was added in. All said and done, the total for two nights was $124.00, $20.00 of which was refunded at checkout, so it is a rather pricey place to stay. That said, this is the quietest park we have stayed at in a long time. We were in a site parallel to the Red River that we caught trout from. There are lots of trees and lots of chipmunks. The showers were super large and very clean. If you are hauling four wheelers or off road vehicles, you have to park them in a separate area, for a charge of course, and they are very strict on not letting them be ridden in the park. We will return if in the Red River area.
We stayed here for three nights while we were in the area to attend an all star football game in Garden City. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and they serve free pancakes in the office/store for campers. The campground was very neat and clean and not much traffic noise. We travel with our two dachshunds and the campground is pet friendly. The temps were upwards of 107 while we were there and they had a couple of surges that knocked the power out but it was quickly restored. The seven rating is mainly due to the fact that there wasn't a lot of shade, more pine trees than anything, and most of the shadier places were reserved for monthly people. We would stay here again if in the area.
We stay here every year at some point for a family vacation. The swimming pool is at the Quartz Mt. Lodge and is available to campers. The park is very quiet and there are lots of things to do. Love it there!
