We spent Spring Break here with the our kids for a week. This was a great campground with concrete pads and a small yard area at each site. We were located about 48 feet from the Ocean and loved it. It had everything you would need on site, we actually only left the campground once or twice the entire time and that was just to go to a couple of the local restaurants.
This Park was a very Family Friendly Park with a laid back atmosphere. It was great for the kids, water was very clean for lake water. Swimming areas were clearly marked and water was around 5 feet deep at the deepest area, there were also Piers extending into the lake for sunbathing and portions were covered with bench seating. It has an arcade with a small gift shop/snack bar. Vendors were also set up selling food, gift items and fresh fruit and vegetables. There was a nice little burger joint and pizza place right outside the entrance and a grocery store just down the street. For us this was a great little spot not to far from home. Would definitely go here for short stays rather than Myrtle Beach or the Wilmington area. The only bad things were that the campground and local stores were cash or check only and the Campground does not take online or phone reservations, although there were a large number of spots available upon arrival.
