Rating is for cleanliness and attention to security. Lake very low, so boating is difficult. WI-FI there, but did not allow connection. Fireworks noise was loud, but not at the campground. Sites dirt, concrete, or gravel. Nice landscaping. Off gravel road.
Overnight enough. Sites are gravel and small with no room for a 38' and parking the truck. Not bad on level. Would not give us a pull through, but one was available. Road noise not bad, but close. Good restaurant there. Clean.
Good place for just overnight stay. MUCH interstate noise, but we did sleep. No shade, water pressure so-so. Zero activities. Gravel spot requiring some leveling. Next to storage. No view. Closest to our objective and we have used before. Need cable or something to be more attractive to campers.
A bad day of travel, then try to get some sleep on the night of the 30th before July 4th. They were not in the park, but very near and very noisy and rude people. Roads are gravel, but in decent shape. Park well taken care of.
Needed mowing, etc very badly. No rest rooms in service. Site had great view of the lake. No true shady sites. Road paved and in good repair. Close to but away from a lot of services and shopping. Probably would stay there again short term.
We were in the "older" part pull-through campground. Good shade, but difficult to get into and pads are short, at a bad angle and not level. Very pretty area. We would camp there again, just be more selective of our site.
Being renovated and doing a great job. I would have rated it better if we had not been in the sun, but the shady sites were not easy pull ins at this time and some of the sites still need work. Recommended.
Nearly all gravel. Sites are very, very close for non-permanent. Parking on some requires being half way on the park road, risking damage. We had 50 amp, but would share the same box and line with a 30 amp site. That would seem to be a risk of overload. This was our most disappointing "Good Sam" park. Staff very helpful.
Helpful staff. Good dining at lodge. Clean park. Good history. Take an extra 50' water hose so you can reach the centralized water hookup. Have extra "support" boards, etc., to help level unit on uneven spots. Good roads.
Staff needs to know the correct approach to an RV spot. They brought us in on the wrong end of the site. Sites need work, mostly for leveling and gravel and mowing. Good paved approach. Wonderful atmosphere, shaded, great hiking. Pit toilets are hard to rate cleanliness. Near everything.
Probably the most confusing layout of sites we have seen. Sites need attention, such as gravel and approaches and leveling and mowing. This was an anniversary celebration, but it did not seem they spent the time on the sites to prepare. Wonderful to have music provided and lots of excitement went with it. It was worth being here. We had rather rude treatment while sitting at the office signing up for a site, from people hitting the side of the RV and dodging in front with carts when we were going to the site. Then carts parked anywhere around the office and seemed to insist they had the right of way before walkers. Look out!
This is the third KOA we have stayed at. None supported a reason for the extra cost. Hosts were helpful. Roads and sites were soft with rain and badly lacking in gravel. Very little shade. Store well supplied. Overnight is a good stay, but not long term. Not really close to other towns, but OK.
Centrally located for one night in Wall. Shade is poor, sites need attention on gravel and leveling. Store needs some cleaning, but has most essentials. Host friendly. Just not an impressive park for long term stay.
Highly recommended. All sites were reasonably level, with good gravel, trees, and grass. Lower level is in the sun. Very clean with a good preservation of the natural. Owners and all were extremely helpful with a refreshing view of customer service.
Brochure they give is outdated on TV coverage. Wi-Fi is not dependable. This RV park is very clean, neat and while in some need of gravel, was very nice to stay in. (The auto service place they recommend would have charged me $1800. if I had four wheels with rotor, pads, and caliper replaced, so they are good AND expensive. The dealer in town charges a lot less.)
Management depends on "volunteer" labor to do a lot, but most of it gets done. Needs gravel on many sites. A lot of trimming getting done from storms. Nice size pads on most sites and three lakes nearby. Good location and hall is very active with something for most.
Clean and neat park and the staff very helpful. Sites are reasonable in size and well located. We had wildlife sightings. Campground was used as a base for the observatory, fort, and Big Bend, etc. Has limited shade.
Well located; the staff knows what is available around it. The sites are rock. It is very difficult to position rig to attach all facilities because of where they put the trees and small pads. Everyone was complaining about it around me. Sites need landscape repositioning. Friendly staff. All sites are at the far back of the permanent sites. Restroom & shower facilities are a long way off.
Courteous staff. Lot was small, and I don't see how large rigs would fit on the sites for transients. Great paved roads; clean rock sites. I received a code for the dog run, but there was no where to enter a code at either one. On one end you could go out, but the gate required a key. I could have walked and used the code for the vehicle entry, but I was not sure I would make it back before it closes. Close to a lot of services, but don't follow the GPS going out toward New Mexico. Very good for overnight or the week.
Clean, neat, location south of the strip; close to all services, just ask where they are. Some clerks very friendly; another I felt we were interrupting. Forget the restaurant, it is never open. Their personnel say they close early if there is no business. If we hadn't eaten at our site, we would have to "brave" the traffic. Why have a restaurant if it can't be depended on? No shade. Like a small city and a new person could get lost. Pool is great!
OK, but not what I expected for paying the extra for a KOA. Gravel sites close together. Road was paved in front. Dusty, but clean otherwise. Some supplies in store, others nearby. Felt I was interfering with the cashier's time when asking questions.
Old buildings for campground well kept; only about 6 units in the park when we stopped as it was about to close. Bar available, but not food. Must drive to other services; very near golf course; convenience was the reason to stop, not at location for other services, including fuel.
Owner very cooperative. Most sites only have 30 amp. Adding new 50 amp sites this year, but not updating the 30 amp. Lake access is easy, but more suitable for shallow draft boats. We did not check out the other two lakes that can be accessed. Clean park.
No towel supplies available in rest room. Lots are long enough for a 40', but our 35' got in OK but it would have been a challenge and possibly expense in trying to navigate going out the twists and turns, missing trees, cars parked and ruts. Going out by way of the exit, do not enter did work for us. Others acknowledged they also were concerned but had not told management and were not "mobile" weekly. Clean and well kept. Utilities located well. Management and reps. were very friendly.
Few lake sites and access is inconvenient without knowing in advance how to approach them and where they are. No maps or host was available for the two nights we were there. We were off the lake because we did not know where to go to find them. Sites we found were back in only and "double" size. If two rigs our size (3 slides, 32 ft) were on the site, it would be crowded for the units. There is a convenience store at the dock area, but is open limited hours. Area is beautiful and great for a short stay. Fishing is available and boating also.
Shower/bathroom building was not available. A smaller one was available, but very old/not clean. There is good shade "down the hill", but no spots are available there and the trees, while there, are thinly spaced above. The "above" lots are well spaced and easy to navigate. There is a pet pen for exercise. There is no "Riverview" and private property prevents any view when walking the road. We were unable to get a cable connection and permanent residents nearby said it wasn't reliable. Roads were smooth on the hill entrance. I will try elsewhere, but could camp here again.
A convenient park. Sites are small. A lot of pull through sites, but not a lot of room to swing for a 5th wheel. Watch when opening slides, that you don't hit the slide of the other unit next door. No privacy. Noise after the 10pm quiet time, but it did go away. Service was quick and professional, but it seemed hard for them to smile. No bad for a short stay.
The Seward City RV park is much better, even without services. RV sites here are so close it is a danger to open the slides. Owners are friendly, but the park is not mowed, trimmed. Our primary parks were full: the only reason we ended up here, and one night will work. If you back in a 5th wheel, it will be a very tight fit. This park has potential, but a lot of work needs to be done.
This is OK for an overnight stay. The site was shaded but not level. The store next to the RV park, was very handy and served decent quicky meals. This park needs some TLC or it will not exist and that is a shame because it clearly has potential. No 50 amp was available for us, but 30 amp was.
Seemed to be a lot of noise after the "quiet" hour and there was no patroling evident. Sites were mostly shaded but small. The park IS close to activities and things of interest. It IS NOT a place I would recommend long term. Tents are allowed on sites next to RV sites. I expected better sites for the money.
Sites are reasonable, but small. Bathrooms and showers were not available when we went to use them. Lots of interstate noise as it is right by the exit for two truck gas stations and one smaller truck station. All sites are at the mercy of the sun. Managers are nice and businesslike. It is clean and neat.
This is a limestone graveled, very clean park. The sites are reasonably level, but are not very big and have little shade. The springtime flowers, mowing, and appearance of the park make up for the interstate noise. Owners are friendly and make the park even more inviting.
It appears the owner is making an effort to improve the park. More trees are trimmed, more "park models" looking cleaner. The shower building needs remodeled. Lots of rust/rot/mildew present. The roads are all gravel and rough and when it rains turn in to mud with water taking a lot with it while draining. We camped during a rainy time, but think there are ways to improve the drainage and roads.
Wonderful park totally underrated. The only gripe is the access to get there. There is no access from the office road, but it would work if they let you in. Follow instructions on the Indiana DNR site. Sites level and extra clean. Services worked great. Very close access to Purdue, Lafayette, and related activities. Has a working early farm on the premises as well.
Nice level sites, clean, not shaded. A bit toward the small size, but OK temporarily. Nice river view. All services worked. Staff person seemed preoccupied, doing just enough to get us into the park. Close to Houston and activities.
This has a plantation home on site. Sites were clean, level, and services worked perfectly. Lots of new here and lot a work put in. Other plantations and services within an easy drive. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness of this park. Staff was very helpful. Walk up the levee and watch the boats. Very new and nice hall with huge TV. I use a rating of 5 as an "as expected" so a 9 is great from me.
Pad very level, park very clean, view outstanding. Need to drive to any services you need. Mark down was only because help at the gate did not give directions except to assign a spot, and did not give any brocure of the park to help. Seemed more occupied with the MP3 or like device that her job. This did cause some inconvenience as the site assigned had no signs to it. Well worth visiting again if the staff is more helpful.
Rain and loose new gravel contributed to my lower rating. Once this settles all should be better. Sites are well marked, but small and clean. Staff took the time to lead us to the site. Most had trees and shade, ours did not. We stayed just one night. It is very close to mall and shopping. History and activities are also close. We were on the Natchez Trace when we found this campground just off it.
Excellent staff assistance! Helped without question on touristy issues. Sites are a little small and need some gravel work. Next to a Camping World and a RV Service & Parts business. Easy location to get in and out. Recommend call because we had to wait for a site to empty. Nashville is a busy place, but it is worth it for show/showboat, etc.
Very friendly staff. Furnished Wi-Fi and cable info without asking. Hard to see the correct road at night and then to go to the entrance. Could use new gravel to help clean it up. The office area is not especially inviting, but very good location and centralized for activities in the area.
Surprising interstate noise. No access to restrooms after closing time. Shady sites were not available for us. Gravel with grass and a table. Good for stay while in Indianapolis. No lake access for us while we were there.
On a mountain stream with a snow-covered mountain in the background. Sites have limited shade. Staff and owners very friendly with a true small-town atmosphere. We stopped due to mechanical problems and would stop again. No fellowship hall or activities. This is just before (or after) Wolf Creek pass. Sites are gravel with some grass.
Gravel sites with a wonderful view of Mesa Verde Park! The view and convenience commands the rating. Close to everything Mesa Verde and is better than being in the Park. This park needs some maintenance, but not serious and is for sale. There were no activities going on in the hall, but it seemed to be a friendly atmosphere.
Sites are all gravel, dusty, no shade, and some are small. Very friendly park at the hall and there is an attempt at activities if someone was staying longer. Good temporary stop to enjoy local activities/Caverns.
One bathroom, one shower for public in park. All dirt, dust, gravel sites. Good for temporary stay. People representing the park were very friendly. Those in the sites next to us seemed almost reluctant to talk. Very close to Camping World and easy Interstate access.
Very open park with little shade. Very little interaction of residents excepting old timers. Desk friendly, but seemed preoccupied. Gorgeous view of the reservoir. Nice location for fishermen and boats.
Nice interaction of residents if you go to the hall. Sewage smell in parts of the park due to overload of sewage system. Avoid spots downwind from the collection areas. Great wildlife and lots of deer. Lake was very low when we were there. We would visit again upwind for a short time to see if problems have been corrected.
This is a great place for people helping people. While a limited amount is done by the owner, people are taking pride in the way the park looks and helping others. Frequently, a volunteer can help with maintenance issues of the grounds and of your unit. That is a big plus! Watch out, DirecTV satellite access may be blocked by trees so bring plenty of cable and hope the satellite will service you.
No shade available. No meeting room or activities. Pool was not available for use due to the cold weather. Gravel sites with good grass and table. Washers/Dryers in unheated building with door open. Would stay again, but not for long.
