This is a typical Texas State Park...very nice! I would say that the only drawback is that it is one of the most confusing layouts I've ever experienced. Most of the time, it doesn't take me long to figure out where I am going, but this campground had many winding roads that lead you where you don't want to go. The lake is small but beautiful and the wildlife is plentiful. Really nice hikes of various difficulties. We visited on what is usually an off season time and the park seemed quite full. This had pretty much everything I could want.

I'm from Texas and the State Parks I'm used to are nothing like Wyoming State Parks. This park really was no different than staying in a National Park campground except for the price. It didn't have much to offer. No showers, basic pit toilets and no power. The price I payed was really too much for what they offered. The lake was beautiful, but the shoreline was unfriendly with lots of rocks and wind. This was a one night stay for us so it wasn't too bad

We stopped in here for just one night. We got there late and had to check ourselves in. The check in process was pretty simple. Everything we saw of this campground looked really good. The location is nice with a Colorado visitor center next door. The one drawback is that they offer internet access but it is not free. Good for an overnight stay
