Very nice park. We had a site no more than thirty yard from the water. Very well maintained, and very helpful friendly staff. The Wi-Fi was free, and worked very well. No cable television, but we were able to get very good reception from Austin, using an antenna. This would be a very nice park to come and do a little fishing, and relaxing. We will definitely be back here.
I would have to say that this is the best park we have stayed in. However, there are a couple of things that I would change. The first site they assigned us was a little too tight to back into at night. The trees and other rigs prevented me from being able to get into the site. However, with a phone call to the office, they assigned me a pull-through. The Wi-Fi worked well, but is an add-on fee. I was never able to resolve an issue with the cable TV feed. There is a substantial curb (3" to 4") that you have to jump when pulling into the sites. However, all that being said, I would rate this as a first class facility. The hard-wood trees and manicured grass was very nice. The club-house, pool, workout facility are all first class. The management was very friendly. We will definitely make this a stop when in San Antonio.
We spent one night at this park while passing through. The views are nice, as previous posts have mentioned. The park is gravel, with little grass, and even less shade. The sites are a bit un-level. When I leveled my fiver, the front end was too low to even think about using my kingpin brace. The local broadcast television stations were OK as far as reception goes. The folks up front were helpful and courteous. They provided us with a map of the area, and some restaurant recommendations. My wife commented that the restrooms were the cleanest she had ever seen. Beware of the wind. When we returned from an afternoon in Santa Fe the folks at the site in front of us were trying to get their awning unwrapped from around the top of their rig. The wind had made a wreck of it. However, I don't think the folks at the campground have power over the wind. (I could be wrong on this) We plan on stopping at a different park on the way back through.
Very nice park, operated by very nice people. The sites are all shaded, and level. The wireless internet worked very well. Nice pool, and a somewhat nice mini golf course. (first game was free, so who am I to complain). We will definitely stay here again if we pass this way.
