The dirt road to get to the park is a bit very dusty. The entrance into the park is narrow and then requires tight turn right after the office -- bit tricky at night so be careful. Watch for spurs in the grassy areas. They recycle -- as all campgrounds and campers should! Friendly folks. Pull through sites were nice. The permanent trailers are tight. While you are close to I-20 you don't hear the noise.
Located just east of El Paso, this was an overnighter for us as we trekked across the southwest. The campground is located behind an Exxon station (which looked pretty seedy). The restrooms were icky. The shower curtains were filthy. The check-in was quick and easy at the Exxon station. No disturbances during the night. Not bad for one night as you cross the desert.
Arrived after posted office hours and proceeded to complete night registration as office was locked. It is difficult to find your way in the dark in this campground as all of the ground cover everywhere is the same... dirt. There are markings, but evening arrivals should be warned. Manager met us at our rig and assisted as they were expecting us and 1 other. I strongly suggest the back row (6-12, 55-57) if you have a tow vehicle with you as these are longer. Wi-fi is available and strong. Remember that nights and mornings are cold any time of the year. Watch out for spurs.
