Stunning views from preferred sites. I recommend P-8. We had a non-view site but it was level and plenty of room. Had a wild turkey family greeting us in the mornings. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The road up to the park is a little dicey but made it in a 40' plus tow. If you are looking for a peaceful mountain experience, this is where you want to be. Very close to Asheville but you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.
Overall a very good park. Sites were very spacious and long enough to hook up vehicle to camper at your site and drive off. Paved roads, nice pool, nice staff. Easy on and off interstate. All sites are about the same. Most trees not big enough to affect satellite reception, but plenty of cable channels. Would definitely stay again.
Very nice park with helpful and friendly staff. We had a Preferred site at the front of the park. Had a fountain on our site and friends had a well maintained walking garden next to theirs. Plenty of trees, so no satellite, but nice to have on hot summer days. Great pool and laundry facilities. Construction on drainage ditch through the RV park is still going on so ask for spot away from that. Definitely would stay again.
Long dirt road to campground that is very dusty when not raining. Many trees so no satellite. Large sites. Because of cheap rates we had a lady in a tent next to us that was not friendly to our kids. She did not have a car and would not speak when spoken to. Pretty lake. Would stay for an overnight stop again.
