We have camped at this KOA several times. The owners are friendly and patient. The camp is clean and well cared for. Care has been taken to leave as many trees as possible at sites. Sites are gravel and mostly level. A wonderful, shady, mile long nature trail is available for hiking. The park is easily accessed from I-35, but road noise from the highway is minimal. Oklahoma City has many sites to see and this park is a great place to stay when doing so.
Small, but clean pool. Dirt/gravel sites were badly in need of gravel. We arrived while it was raining and encountered lots of mud. Trash was picked up at site each morning. WiFi was broken the first several days we were there. I am not sure we would have been able to locate the campground without a GPS. Electric for adjacent site was two feet from our front door, limiting the minimal privacy available. We will try the Double J next time.
The new RV campsites were perfectly level, spacious, and had the best full hookup facilities we have ever used. Missouri State Parks do things right. Beautiful setting with trout fishing, hiking trails and a huge, well-maintained, well-staffed swimming pool. Fun, fun park store.
Beautiful setting with large trees. Level asphalt pads. Trash disposal nearby. Recycling available. Wonderful historical park with an awesome cave tour and hiking trails available. There is a great park store on the way in. Bathrooms were in acceptable condition. The park was heavily used while we were there. We plan to return to the park and spend time floating the lovely river.
Sites included lots of trees, but they did not interfere with RV movement. Pool was aging, but clean. Owners were exceptionally friendly. Easy access near interstate. Noise from interstate not as obtrusive as you might expect. Cable was fuzzy. Owner said, and we confirmed, that using WiFi required disabling personal computer firewall, which we were not willing to do. Great KOA for an overnight stay.
