The host was nice but not terribly helpful. The grounds are clean and kept up. I did not like the shower arrangement with having to walk past the office. It made me self conscious. However, almost no one in this park seems to need public showers with the luxury rigs rolling in. The traffic noise got on my nerves. Lots of shopping, restaurants, Lowe's and Home Depot nearby.
This park is across from the airport, easy to find, very easy to get into and move around in the slots. The bathrooms are set up better than any I've seen with the shower, toilet, and sink in one room. With this privacy there is no need for separate men's and women's. I was concerned about noise from trains and airplanes, it hasn't been bad at all, it seems the slots closer to the highway are quieter than the back. Most of the residents are on temporary work assignments so the laundry room has heavy traffic. The host and maintenance are the most helpful I've ever seen. The guy they recommended to do repair was excellent and lower in price than expected.
This park is simple, great for a one night stay. The woman that runs this park is so sweet the bees leave their honey. The steak house behind the park is a do not miss, amazing steaks! Kmart and Walmart are close to stock up for the onward trek. Wi-Fi is free and fast. If you walk around outside be prepared for the evil Texas ants. Several permanent residents but everyone has been very kind. This is not a park for the country club set.
I was worried as we drove into the park. Like a previous comment we noticed the climb up to the railroad tracks were very steep. Once inside the park we felt safe, the facilities are very very good. The management was helpful, the showers impeccable. We discovered the trail along the river the last day. We will most definitely stay here again.
