First impressions of the park were not good. Some sites were boggy and most of those near the water were not in very good condition. No paving in the park. But there were, scattered amongst the longer term residents, some pretty nice sites with full hookups. The pool was a little beat up but clean (as the trees around it could make it) and refreshing. Club house was air conditioned and had cable. We had a lot of trouble with the Wi-Fi and never really got it to work. Noticed that the showers were not checked every day and there's only one mirror in the place - in the woman's restroom. The park is quiet although there are permanent residents in the back of the park. Pass Christian is very slowly starting to make its way back after the hurricane and so there's not much there to keep you entertained but we liked it that way. Stayed 4 days.
Not much shade at the Lucas Park site but very nice lake front park. Have to look hard for a level site though. Locals use the park and seem to love it. Honors Golden Age/Senior cards. The best deal of the trip! Handy dump station.
Adequate spacing and flat sites. Quiet except for a very occasional plane from the nearby small airport. If there is a nature trail for the birds, we were not able to find it - not well marked. Lots of mosquitoes!
Deep in the trees right on the water. Good store. Internet in the office. Very steamy after a thunderstorm. Adequate spacing between sites. Good after hour arrival plan. Had no trouble finding our spot. A little isolated from town and did not find transportation from the park.
The park is on two tiers. The lower park is quite pretty but very buggy. Some sites were too wet and boggy to camp. Bathrooms were locked. Host would not open them without $5 key deposit. Advised not to use either the bathrooms or showers because they were in "bad shape". No dump station. Wi-Fi very iffy on the lower tier. $15 with credit card.
