We stay here each July, and sometimes in the fall/winter. We actually have been there twice in July 2011, once in our travel trailer, and while there, traded for a 5th wheel, and came back to stay on July 29. We had a nice, large site both times. All sites are pull-through...most other campgrounds in Myrtle Beach have much smaller back-in sites. Many sites near the beach are paved, but we prefer to stay in the 4000 section since it is quieter. It can get noisy at night, due to teens on golf carts (which you can bring for an extra charge...they also rent them). But overall, this is my favorite campground. I've been staying here for 20 years, first with my parents, now with my husband. As far as I'm concerned, there's no where else to stay while in Myrtle!
Breathtaking views from the top of the mountain. Very clean park, nice large sites, friendly staff. This campground would not be ideal for families with small children, since there is nothing for them to do on site, but perfect for couples looking for quiet and relaxation. Only one drawback to our mountaintop view...the wind broke our awning during a severe thunderstorm. However, the staff was helpful in getting the awning off the top of the camper so we could leave. So if you stay here, put your awning in if there is a threat of storms! Otherwise, fantastic!!
