We stayed here in our 28 foot travel trailer, and my nephew and his friend stayed in a tent on our site. Although the nightly rate is reasonable, it costs an additional $10 per night per car to cover the Wisconsin state park fees. This drove the nightly rate up to $38 per night. The office is run by an extremely rude woman. The parking pad was level and the site was ok although we prefer a site that is off the road a little bit. There was no flat space to use under our awning, and since it rained every day of our stay we were stuck inside. Wood is $5 for a very small amount of wood. Even in the rain we spent $10 for wood and still didn't have a fire for more than 2 hours. In addition they won't deliver it to your site, you have to pick it up yourself. We were amazed to find a number of sites that are located on the edge of the street. Park your rv there and walk up into the woods a bit for your fire pit and picnic table. The shore of Lake Michigan is gorgeous. The outhouses are acceptable. It is not likely we will stay here again.

We stayed here in our 28 foot travel trailer. My nephew and his friend stayed in a tent on our site with us. The cost is $8 per person per night. However, if you want electric it is an additional $5 per person per night. That made the price ridiculous. We found the hosts to be very nice, and extremely accommodating. We like wi-fi when we camp and although we found 2 connections available, the bar/lounge bartender told us to ask the campground for the password, and the campground hosts told us to ask at the bar/lounge. We never did get the password. The showers were acceptable, but 25 cents buys you 2 minutes. The bathrooms in the shower house were clean. There were outhouses right next to our site that were disgusting. Wood is $10, but it buys u a good amount. We did participate in rafting. That was a good time, and most likely the only reason we would stay here again.

The campground hosts were very friendly, polite and professional. Large shady or sunny sites depending on your preference, also sites available on the river. There are a number of stray cats in the park, some are sweet and some just avoid you. The facilities were clean and functional, however they could use updating. There is a strong sulfur smell in all the water, If you put it in your camper the water in your camper will smell. I used their water to rinse out my water bottle before filling it with spring water, the sulfur smell made the water undrinkable. We may stay here again, however, we would bring water with us.

Hosts were polite campground was clean. It was nice to stay right on the river, however this campground is in the center of Oconto, so we had some traffic noise and across the river was a neighborhood that was unsightly. We prefer camping in the woods, but it wasn't a bad little campground.

Like other KOAs I have read about, this one has recently cut their sites in half making 2 sites out of 1. The electric box and water faucet for our neighbors site was under our awning. Upon arrival I asked for a new site and was told there were none other available; they were "booked up" for the weekend, however half the sites stayed empty our entire 4 day stay. The pool was extremely crowded and we noticed the majority of the people in the pool left the park when they were done, so this serves as a pool for the area NOT the campground specifically. The fees we received drove the price way up, although Wi-Fi was advertised as free we were required to pay for it after the first 24 hours. There were additional car fees, although no space provided to park the additional car. The rain caused our tiny site to turn into a mud puddle, and the staff was quite rude. We will not stay here again.
