We camped here for 1 night. The campground had very few other visitors, and it appeared that little maintenance had been done to the park. The swimming pool had a "closed for the season" sign (in July?), the water was dirty, tiles missing. The playground had railings falling off,and appeared unmaintained and unsafe. Several electrical posts at campsites had plastic trash barrels over them. We would not return to this park.
This is a nice, clean park, with a beautiful pool, spotless restrooms, and friendly staff. There were planned activities with the other friendly campers. The park crowd was definitely older, and there are no kids activities or playground facilities, but there is a nice rail trail, for biking, about 10 miles away. There is also a reasonably priced RV supply store across the street - same owners. The road noise, particularly the "biker" bar down the road was annoying. Also, our campsite was really tiny, a mix of grass, leaves and sand, making it messy. Other campsites seemed bigger, and nicer, but the park was full. Although there was a lot of "regulars" at the park, most very nice folks, it was a little too quiet for us.
We stayed here for two months, and we really love this park. We were concerned about the distance to shopping etc., but it's an easy drive to Immokalee,or Clewiston. Long term residents(month or more) receive quite a few perks, such as free tickets to events. This is a very active park, with all kinds of planned activities, so you can be as busy as you want to be. Overall, the park is kept in excellent condition, with nice landscaping, and spacious sites. We are already booked to return next year.
Close to I75,so there's highway noise, but we were only there for 1 night. Sites are a bit tight, but we had no problem backing in. Perimeter is surrounded with permanent single-wides,giving it a neighborhood feel. The owner was actually very helpful. We had a problem with electric, and he helped us until it was resolved (problem was our system, not his) All in all it was a pleasant overnight stop.
As others stated, it's a really convenient overnight stop on I-75, but the road noise is really loud. Gas station and convenience store within walking distance. Many of the sites are shaded by pecan trees, so we got a couple of pounds of pecans for free. Owners were very nice, but the park is a bit tired.
This was a travel through park for us on the way South. Convenient to I-75, which meant highway noise. Owners were very friendly, and the grassy sites were fairly level. Park seemed well maintained, with a nice little camp store. A nice convenient park for travelers.
