We spent two months there and loved it. We are going back again in 2010 for a few more months. Prices have gone up, but well worth it. Staff very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to returning. The park is surrounded by many attractions, golf courses and placed to dine, along with shopping centers even though the park is in a rural setting.
This is a very nice campground. We stayed the night while travelling back to Florida. The staff was very friendly. It was a little tight to get around but as long as you take your time, it is fine. Received an email from staff when I got home, thanking us for staying there, which was a surprise. We will stay there again when in the area.
I have stayed in many camp grounds from FL to AK and this one has to be the worse by far..If you like parking in a swamp, then you will love it..I was afraid I was going to bog down when I pulled into my "site". Don't walk in your motorhome with your shoes on or you will be cleaning your rugs or tiles all night long. I didn't report on the bathroom or showers because if they were any example of the "park" they had to be a mess. They also rent out so called cabins. I have seen better on the sugar fields of FL. How Woodall's can give them 4 stars is beyond me, and GS also sponsors them. I would never stay her again. Staying in the Flying J parking lot would have been better. Even my dogs were afraid to venture out.
We have stayed here over the past few years. They were associated with KOA but apparently no more. This park is run down. Dirt roads, pot holes and when it rains, forget it. We booked a 50amp site but when we arrived it was a 30amp, kept blowing the circuit. Unfortunately the RV parks in the Detroit area are far and few between.
I stayed in this campground before they renovated it, and it was fine, but now, it is great. For the price and location, you cant beat it. The country employee staff is friendly and helpful. the only reason I didnt give it a 10 is the location to the train tracks, but that isnt all that bad. if you are looking for a good place to stay in the hollywood/ft lauderdale area, this is it.
To say this park is a "resort" is really pressing it. Unlevel dirt pads. Tight. This is the first park I have been in this summer that actually charged me for my second dog.. Talk about nickle and diming. I would never consider returning here.
Nice park and clean. Spacious sites with easy access. Friendly staff. Stayed here three weeks. Park is very quiet. Stayed here last year and will again next year. Only draw back is low water pressure. But you can live with it.
This has to be one of the nicest parks I have stayed at.. It is in transition right now, new owners. It is now known as Diamond Caverns Campground. The staff are very friendly and helpful.. It is located in an area close enough to "civilization" yet far enough away to give you a sense of solitude. There is a resort just down the road with a championship golf course...very reasonable rates. We stayed for a week and plan on coming back either in Sept or next year for a month. You wont be sorry...
The price was not worth the stay. Nothing there to warrant the cost of one night stay. $2 extra for A/C, wrong. No quiet time apparently. One group was making loud and making noise until after 1:30am. They set off their car alarm and allowed it to blare for minutes. Sites are so so, crowded. I would not stay here again.
