What can you really say about staying within the grounds of Walt Disney World? Nothing can compare to the convenience of being on property and never having to drive to get anywhere. Our site was clean and well tended. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the bus system and all of the activities within the campground. We will return, maybe when it isn't so rainy!
We stopped here on our way home from a wet trip to Florida and found more rain, but the park was wonderful. We were escorted to our site by the owners after they gave us fresh cookies! Due to the rain the grass was a little tall, but the owners apologized and we understood, given how rainy it has been. We used the bathhouse which was sparkling and the pool, which was also very clean. They have cute cabins which are a good option for people who are going through the area and don't want to use a motel. The area is a perfect drive from Florida. We came up from Orlando and it only took us 4 1/2 hours. We will definitely return.
We enjoyed this park and loved the entire area. It was Florida in summer and was rainy and overgrown a bit but what can you expect? I would much rather have plants and nature than a concrete village any day. The bathhouse was clean and probably could use an update but it isn't a deterrent to returning. St Augustine has become our favorite city and we will definitely return to the area in the future and will stay here again.
This is a rustic park, but there is so much to offer in the surrounding area that any possible inadequacies are made up for by the conveniences nearby. It was rainy and hot, but we just went shopping and sightseeing during the days and enjoyed the nights in the campground. Within a few minutes you have every restaurant you could want and high end shopping at Coconut Point. Drive into Bonita Springs for Gulf access, it is much nicer than heading over to Ft Myers Beach. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
