This park suffered massive tornado damage in 2011 and, while recovering, is still showing the effects of the storm. Most of the back-in sites have new power pedestals. Pull-thru sites have not been upgraded as of this writing. Most sites are gravel and need leveling. Turning in the pull-thru area is tight and may limit large rigs. Lake facilities are nice and there is a lovely lodge on the top of the hill overlooking the park. The Wi-Fi service is the best we experienced on our month-long trip. Work on the needed campground improvements continues.

Located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River. Sites in the "first row" are literally 30 feet from the bank and you are treated to a view of the barge traffic on the river. The sites are concrete and level. All sites are pull-thru. There is another cluster of sites occupied by long-term tenants, located away from the riverside sites. Laundry and dryer use is free. Park management is a very friendly couple and they aim to please. Memphis is about 15 minutes away via I-30 or I-40. We will stay here again and hope to bring our grandchildren.

Located about 100 miles east of Oklahoma City, and 4 miles south of I-40 on US-69. Easy to find and to access. This small park is near, but not on Lake Eufaula. Sites have all needed hookups and there is sufficient turning space for most large rigs. The swimming pool is an above ground model and the other amenities are being upgraded by the new owner. There is an underground storm shelter which reminds us of weather issues in this part of the country. A good place for an overnight stop or a couple of days of activity on the nearby lakes. The rate is Passport America.

We enjoyed this park. The sites are level concrete and the hookup pedestals are new and conveniently placed. Wind is your constant companion at a rate of about 10-15 MPH. Located off I-40 about 5 miles west of town, it offers a great place to stop, a friendly office staff, and lots of wide open space(es) for your RV. We would stay here again.

A very nice and convenient place to overnight in the Albuquerque area. Easy access to/from I-40. Friendly and helpful staff. All in all a pleasant overnight stop. The park lacks trees, and some of the "niceties" we have come to expect in parks of this type. Thus a score of 8 out of 10.

WOW, it's Monument Valley and this park fits right in with the fabulous visual experience. The park is well laid out and offers spacious pull-through sites with full hookups. Some of the trees could use trimming and that is why a 9/10 score is shown. Be sure to allow at least 2 days here to take in the unique beauty of the area. Plan to spend $100 per person in extra cost tours, etc. This is a very popular park with RV caravan operators, so reservations are a must.

Spaces are VERY tight and turns are not for the faint of heart. All pull-through spots are at right angles to the road on either end. It appears that many of the guests are long term and have become comfortable in their surroundings. It worked for our one night stay, but the park is in need of a general cleanup and some maintenance. It happens to be next door to Camping World, if that offers any attraction.

Nice park for an overnight stop. They have pull-thru sites near the entrance for those who are just passing through making departure simple. Hookups are convenient and properly located. Sites are paved and level. Good park for a quick stopover.

We stayed in the "Premium" part of the park. The sites are clustered around an island of grass and trees that made spaces a bit crowded. Facilities are good and hookups were located for easy connection. Sites are paved in the premium area and level. Staff is friendly and helpful.

A very special place. Located adjacent to, and operated by, the Port of Newport, Oregon, this park is a visitors delight. All sites are nicely paved, level and spaced to provide a comfortable setting. The Park host made it a point to visit after we were set up to explain the highlights of the area and provide a welcome kit with info about some area merchants and restaurants. He was one of the outstanding things about this park. The location offers a great base of operations for the Oregon Coast visitor. It is across the street from the Hatfield Marine Science Center and walking distance from the aquarium.

This park has an unusual site configuration that allows big rigs to park with their tow vehicle along side. Rigs are parked back to back in this arrangement. We did use the laundry facilities, which were clean and reasonably priced. You can walk to shopping and restaurants. Hookups were all located together which made some connections a bit of a stretch. The place was clean and neat. A great location for visiting in the area.

A very convenient spot when traveling in the Eastern end of the Columbia River area. All sites are gravel, but level and we'll laid out. Good spacing between sites with young trees in the right spots for future shade. Nice laundry facilities to serve their less transient clients. Certainly a park to keep in mind.

What a beautiful state park location. Lots of room between sites. Grass and trees abound. This park is located along the Snake River and offers a peaceful setting for the traveler. Next door to the park is the Carmela Vineyards if you would like to visit their winery. Park staff was most helpful and courteous. Unless a site is specifically marked as reserved for that night it is available on a first come basis. A gem in the Gem state.

This is sort of a cross between the typical national park site and a more commercial one. A bit more crowded together and sites not as level as I would expect in a park setting. Facilities were good and hookups convenient. Lots of trees and shrubs added to the ambiance. This is a good base from which to visit the area. Book early as they fill up. One tip, there is a 48 hour penalty free cancellation policy. So try to call 2-3 days ahead of your target date to see if anyone has cancelled.

Another gem found along the road. This park is located on the way to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks and offers the perfect combination of scenery, mountain air and country charm. It is located adjacent to the municipal golf course with the Rocky Mountains of Wyoming as a backdrop. Sites are level hard packed gravel with all utilities in the right spots for easy hook up. This is a seasonal park and they close in mid-October but are well worth a visit when you are in the area.

This is only my second experience with a KOA facility and they are not scoring too high on my list of places to look for on the road. The sites are jammed together and our neighbor's sewer line connected where our steps were located so we had to be careful not to dislodge his sewer connection when entering/exiting our trailer. The laundry facilities were fair at best and cost $2.50/load. The "pull-thru" site was so short we had to park our truck across the drive in order to fit in the allotted space. All together not a pleasant experience, but for one night, tolerable.

Like many state parks, this one offers a high degree of privacy in a maturely shaded site. While it is missing some of the niceties of a commercial park with water and sewer connections, it more than makes up in ambience and beauty. There are some water spigots located in the camping area and if you have a sufficiently long hose connecting is easy. There is a dump station near the park entrance and it is convenient to use as you depart the park area. This park is about 30 minutes north of Kansas City so access to the city is easy. The airport is near by, but not so near that you hear planes. The quiet is one of the best features of this park. We will use it again while visiting family in the KC area.

This is a true gem of a park. The rate is Passport America and I felt almost ashamed to pay so little for such a nice place to spend the night. Staff was very accommodating and insisted on leading us to our well equipped pull through space. All hookups were conveniently located and made the connecting process a breeze. We will definitely return to this park when our travels bring us this way. If you like to fish, a stocked pond is at your disposal.
