This State Park is beautiful if you like canyons and desert. The campgrounds are very well planned. Like other reviews say - the drive into the canyon is steep but do-able. Unfortunally, while we were there the temps were above 100 degrees in the bottom of the canyon. Would go back but only in the winter or early early spring. Canyon, TX is a very nice town about 10 miles west of the park entrance.

We stayed just overnight. The park is beautiful. About 15 miles north of Forrest City and 5 miles south of Wynne, and just 40 miles west of Memphis area. The sites were well planned with concrete pads, deck rails, full hookups and very level. Each site was spaced away from the next to provide privacy. We chose a pull through and did not unhook the TOAD. Many activities in the park for family. Check out the website! This is 7000 acres of nature and one of Arkansas hidden treasures.

New owner this year. He is really friendly and always working. The sites are large and mostly pull thru. Mitchell is about 3 miles from park and good location from I90. Shade trees need trimming but owner is working on updating all the sites. Will have dog runs in the future.

Right on the Colorado/New Mexico border near I25. We were parked on the cliff with a beautiful view. The sites are gravel. Only great thing is the view.

Half of the sites were concrete pads for the pull thrus. The sites were very close together. No shade trees that helped any at all. There were many extended stay older RVers in the park. Many dogs and not very clean in the Pet Exercise Area. Water pressure was low the whole time. Will not go back.

This park is excellent for base camp in the Black Hills area. There are different area loops to stay in, we found that we like the Ranch Loop the best. There is a large pasture field in the middle of the different camping loops. There is a pancake breakfast every morning by the office.

Good base campground to see the sights of the Badlands. There is a dog corral. The owners keep the campground very clean. For the area, this is the best place to park.
