This is a well-maintained campground, and our stay was good in all respects. The site we got first had a TV cable flaw but we easily moved to another. We were impressed with the emphasis on cleanliness, but only wish that those who live in and govern the surrounding countryside had similar concern. The lovely Virginia scenery, especially the road leading to this campground, is too often disgusting to look at thanks to the litterbugs. Why can't the offenders be rounded up and made to clean their messes?
This would be an adequate campground, in a good location near I-81 and Roanoke, if the owners would give even minimal attention to the bathrooms and showers and if they would remove the many abandoned old trailers. With some investment of time and effort, this could be a fine place. As it is now, it is not to be used unless you're desperate.
