I left the following comments back in October 2008 and only had to make one change! "All the previous comments sum up this wonderful location. We were here with a group and everyone expressed the same positive feed back. Our group is already booked for next year at the same time. Only issue was the WiFi connection being on the fritz, otherwise a perfect 10 would be in order." The WiFi service is now excellent, with the rest of the amenities!

We were here with a group in the group area. The campground surroundings are still being upgraded, some with new construction. The mini golf was about 80% completed and there are plans to build a water park behind the hill of the camping area, as the area has been cleared and grubbed for survey staking. What a waste of natural surroundings! This is a large nice campground, but I fear it will be less desirable if they complete the water park, more noise and traffic congestion! Let Clear Lake be the destination and leave this campground as the accommodations.

A very well kept campground. This place seems to be always busy. Because its so popular!. A little $$$, but overall a great location, with easy access.

Indian Wells campground is located within the monument. The sites are geared for tenters, but there are sites that rv's can pull adjacent to. The restrooms are simple, and there is piped water. The highlight of this location is the monument itself. A number of lava tubes (caves) to explore. The lava tubes also provide great relief from the high summer temps. Would visit and stay again.

Wow, Surprised with all the low ratings by others. We have a small group that meets every year in April, that we utilize the full hook sites. We have never felt neglected, as the staff has always been prompt with our requests. The full hookup sites are the smallest of sites because they are grouped together for the septic system, and are away from the river. There are many nice river view sites, that have partial hookups of ether water and power. Yes it can rain this time of year, but have always made the best of it if it does. A convenient location near the northern coastline for day trips.

A convenient lay over campground if you are traveling along the I-5 corridor in Northern California. A friendly staff, clean restrooms and the campground is keep clean and tidy. There are a few permanent RV'ers, but nothing to be alarmed about. The campground is located on the south end of the town of Weed. Easy access off the interstate with restaurants within walking distance and fuel locations that are easy to negotiate through.

We were very pleased with our experience with this campground. If you are fortunate to get one of the sites with power in loop F, all the better. There are many sites, so finding a spot without a reservation shouldn't be difficult. They recently completed the Annie Creek Restaurant and gift shop, that is within walking distance of the campground and the existing store.

A nice overnight location. Easy access from ether Interstate 80 or 505. A very large campground with many seasonal units through out. The highlight for us has always been the large clean pool. Summer temps. can be in the upper 90's, so the pool is a great treat. After 5 visits, we will continue to use this location for a lay over stop.

We agree with the above review. A nice campground that has a great location and is well kept. We have been coming to this campground for the past 5 years, and have always chosen one of their premium sites closest to the lake. The only negative I can mention, is that the new owners of the campground of only 2 years, are considering changing more of the premium sites into their seasonal sites. And for us that stay for shorter periods, will be condensed into their regular smaller sites. Otherwise a great place.

We have been coming to this campground for the past 5 years, but are not returning in 2007. The campground had changed ownership in 2005, and the new owners haven't a clue regarding customer service, nor maintaining an acceptable level of cleanliness. Made our usual reservation a year in advance with the manager, with a follow up call 2 months prior to our arrival with a response of who are you and there is no such reservation. We made a second reservation with the same manager at that time for their over flow site adjacent to their pool area. We arrived the day we are reserved for, with a welcome of we're full, and who are you. This campground has a history of a fun family atmosphere with most sites full for the season. With poor management, and the lack of keeping things clean, we won't be returning. There is plenty to do within the area, train museum, fishing, hiking, and boating and the communities of Blairsden, Graeagle, and Portola.
