Actually, we did not camp here. We were heading for Chattahoochee for an overnight stop and saw the web site for this place. Looked at RV Park Reviews and saw some pretty good reviews but didn't notice how old they were (2009). We pulled in and the place looked totally run down and half abandoned. There was a piece of paper on the office door that said there were no campground hosts and to just find a site and call a phone number at City Hall and someone would be around to collect your money. I was looking for a place with a laundry, which their web site said they had but couldn't find anything that looked like one. I walked up to the clubhouse and the boards of the porch were so rotten I thought I might fall through. We turned around and left. Don't know if the hookups worked or the Wi-Fi that was advertised.
This is a great park. Shaded and level sites, friendly and helpful owners, clean laundry room, showers and bathrooms open 24 hours, nice pool. We just spent one night here on our way home, but were so glad to find it. They sell pizzas and chicken in the office which was great for us after a long day on the road. Great fenced in dog park, too. We would definitely come back here.
This is a great place to stay in Ely. If you are there to see the Nevada Northern Railroad, it is close by. This rate was with a Good Sam discount. The bathrooms are individual rooms with shower/toilet and sink, which is a great arrangement. They were very clean. Nice clean laundry room as well. We would definitely go back. There are lots of permanent residents here but we had no trouble getting a site.
We had a great experience at this park. The managers/hosts were very helpful and our site was grassy and shaded and near the river. We had plenty of space. The bathrooms and showers were modern and spotlessly clean. The cable and WiFi worked great. It is very close to the impressive Avenue of the Giants -- easy access. We especially liked the fenced in pet play area where we could let our dog off the leash and play with her. Highly recommend this campground
We have traveled across the country from North Carolina and this is the most beautiful campground we have been to. The campground is 6 1/2 miles off Highway 40 in Utah and the last 4 miles or so are dirt road with breathtaking scenery. The campground is in a "bowl" with tall, rock cliffs surrounding it. Owner is very friendly and helpful, and bathrooms/showers are clean and modern. There is a dump station available. Wifi is at the owner's home, and she welcomes you to sit at outside tables nearby to use it. We were able to pick it up at our campsite with the help of our booster antenna. Pay with cash or check. Campsites are right on the Strawberry River, and two reservoirs are in easy driving distance for boating/fishing.
This park has very easy access from Route 80. Owner is very helpful and friendly. All pull through sites, some shaded. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Grounds are well maintained. Highly recommended.
