Great overnight campground. Pull through sites are gravel and close together but are level with easy access to hookups. Very hot in the summer with no shade. Office person was wonderful with great customer service skills. Restrooms and showers were extremely clean. Would stay here again when passing through the area. Used our Passport America rate.
Just a big dusty lot with pullthrus and power on overhead power poles. Passport America rate is not good for 50A. This will cost you $2.00 extra. Lady in the office could not have been nicer. Great customer service attitude. This is not a destination campground. Okay for a one night stopover. Not much to choose from in this area. Except for Califonia this is always the most expensive gas during our yearly cross country trips.
Have stayed here twice during cross country trips over the past 2 years. Absolutely superb campground. Caring and customer service oriented staff. Love the breakfast. Will drive a little extra on a given day just to be able to stay at this campground.
Stayed using the Passport America rate. Employees could not be nicer. Park was clean and well kept. Don't understand the need for gravel speed bumps located about 10 feet from turns in the road. Don't think anyone is going to be going very fast around the turn anyway. Watch for tree limbs if parked in the eastern most area. The work sheds are also located in that area so be prepared to hear the lawn mowing equipment. Would stay there again in the future but would request site away from eastern end.
First stayed here in 2004. Stayed again in 2007 and swore I would not stay here again. Broke my promise to myself and stayed again in May 09. Woman in the office is completely devoid of any customer service skills. First thing you see upon entering the office is a sign on neon paper that says, "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone." Not something like "Welcome." You can have cable or Wi-Fi but not both. However, you must ferret this info out on your own; not going to be volunteered. Had called ahead and reserved a pull through. Were assigned to two adjacent sites and told to park at an angle to accommodate the 36' motorhome and the toad. Only problem is that when doing this the front of the rig hung over the front of the concrete pad and made it impossible to use the leveling jacks. Had to disconnect the toad and then park the rig on one site and the toad on another. In other words, was not a pull through. I use a very expensive surge protector that runs some tests prior to allowing power to flow to the rig. Good thing. Both sites had 50A power with reversed polarity. Didn't bother to go back to the office and tell the uninterested staff member, just used 30A for the night. I will not break my promise to myself again. Last visit to this park even though it is convenient and midpoint to my travel destinations. Just not worth the hassle. Rather give my money to someone who would at least act like they appreciate my business.
Stayed at this park most of June, July and August of 2008. Absolutely the nicest park I have ever stayed in. Owners/workers are truly exceptional people who render unsurpassed customer service. Grounds are kept in immaculate condition and grounds are always clean. Quiet hours are strictly enforced and problem folks are asked to leave in a timely manner. I really should not be telling others about this campground as it should be a "best kept secret." It is truly a waterfront park and the view of the Hood Canal is beautiful. Great sunrises.
