Rustic campground in the pines. Stayed near the back of the park so I had to traverse the incredibly rough dirt roads to get here. If you get a site closer to the entrance, it is okay. The people were friendly and helpful. It can be tough turning left on to the highway due to traffic. It is pretty far of the freeway, too. All-in-all it is better than average but not very convenient for a stopover (which is why I was there).
The owners meet you and guide you to your site. Access for a big rig is all right, but some of the turns are tight. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The pad was level and hedges provide a modicum of privacy. It is relatively convenient and right next door to the KOA. I was quite pleased with the park as a stopover and would recommend it.
This is the kind of park that one chooses because it is on the way to somewhere else. The rate is outstanding, and the facilities are austere but completely usable and acceptable (including cable TV). All gravel with little room between sites, this is not a fancy resort, but it is off the highway, easy to access and the people who run the place are very nice. You simply cannot beat this place for the rate!!
Rate is based on monthly rate. Found the staff less than gregarious but not unfriendly. Site was good level concrete pull-through pad with exceptional length. Picnic tables at every site are clean and durable. The most outstanding value of this park is the fact that utilities (electric) are included in the monthly rate. This is like getting $100 or more off per month compared to other parks. Location on loop 1604 is somewhat inconvenient since one must always turn out in the north-bound direction. Trees and shade are nice, and the facilities are well-maintained. I would definitely choose this park for long-term stays.
