This place is all about location. Spots overlooking the sea also get the Yacquina Lighthouse in full view...best views are in the corner, ours was spot 186. Beach is accessible by a short but fairly steep path below. Spots are well spaced with easy hookups. Only facility we used was wifi which worked well. Beware of strong winds (and rain) so jacks down are recommended! About 5 minute drive from Agate Beach (where park is) to Newport town and about 10 minutes away from the old town by the bay. Pricey RV park although, the cheapest sites start at $60 (but you get no view) before discounts. We got a Family Motorcoach 15% discount. I'd recommend staying here for the premium spots with the view but you might look elsewhere if all you want is a clean park to stay at for a cheaper rate.
Stayed for 2 nights. Access is a little tricky as it is directly off fast 4 lane road. Look carefully for entrance as it is very poorly marked! Drive straight in - no security gate in effect. Nice front desk area with shop, very well stocked DVD/VHS library, public use computer and printer, Wifi works well. Clean park with nice wooded surroundings. Spaces a little close to each other although we took a 'double' converted spot. Fairly narrow access roads. Looking back, website shows complimentary breakfast but we did not use it - don't think we were told about it to be honest. Paper was delivered as advertised! Good Sam 10% available. Winter special shows 3 nights for 2.
Read the below reviews while on the road and decided to go for this one for a night stopover. Chose it for the main reason that it is so easily accessible from the I-84 - it is less than half a mile from the off ramp. Greeted by very friendly owners who made everything very easy - was even escorted in to a late arrival berth which are located close to the office building. Took a pull through spot which was much longer than the 60ft we needed. Hookups new and in convenient placement. Decent wide spaces with good room between RVs. Access roads nice and wide too. Only facilities I used was Wifi which worked fine. Shop does need to be better stocked as reported below...plenty of shelf space with only a few items stretched along it! Ice cream freezer and drinks fridge. Attractions brochures, TV and couches. Nice, new, clean, friendly RV park. Highly recommended for a stopover but great too I'd imagine for longer stays.
Easiy accessible from the 191 just north of Moab. WIFI very good. Pool and hot tub good. Pull through sites fairly spacious and shaded. Recommend the 'end cap' sites for a little more space and privacy. Nice activities for kids - 'horseshoe chucking', giant chess and checkers boards. Price, a little on the higher side but facilities are pretty good. Warning - mosquitoes are everywhere due to the proximity of the river so bug spray is essential. Immediate sites of interest - Arches Park, Canyonlands (and for a quick taste of Canyonlands spectacular views - DeadHorse Point State Park) For access back to the I-70, highly recommend the 128 Scenic Byway instead of 191 (better suited to smaller rigs although doable in a 45fter!)
This a very clean, nicely landscaped simple but relaxing RV park overlooking Scottsbluff National Monument. We stayed in a site towards the end of the park and found lots of space and privacy with lush green lawns surrounding our motorhome. No problems with any of the hookups. Owners are pleasant. WIFI a little sketchy. Paid a little over $100 for the week. Great value. Recommended.
Stayed for one night in 45' motorhome. This RV park is situated 1.5 miles outside Glenwood Springs. It's location is surrounded on all sides by the steep walls Glenwood Canyon making it very pretty. On the lower slopes of the site is the Colorado river where there are great camp sites and dinghy launch beach. Towards the entrance are nice looking cabins of various sizes. Placed in the middle are the larger RV spots. Free Wi-Fi works well. To call this a 'resort' is a little inaccurate. Landscaping is scant. Little space between spots. Roads are all dusty gravel. Watch out for the large boulders. This place is really geared towards outdoor sports (notably watersports), and if that's what you need, and are staying in a smaller vehicle, camping or using the chalets, then you will find it much better suited to your needs. I can not give this place lower stars due to it's unique location offering magnificent views, but even so, the price to stay here is on the expensive side based on it's amenities.
