New & Improved is a great way to describe this park. They recently lengthened, terraced, and leveled quite a few pull-throughs. And they built new restrooms and a really nice laundry room/lounge. New machines that are very quiet. Access roads are a bit narrow, but still navigable. Park is off the main drag so it's quiet. Good place to stay!
Pay & free showers available. Great location, wide sites; 30 amp but no need for 50 amp here. Too close to lake for sewers - no big deal. This is a terrific park for families and for just 'chilling' in a grassy park-like setting. Definitely plan to return. Great photo ops all around us.
Can't believe so many kids come on weekends! Entire park is dirt and large sized gravel. When they fall, they must get chewed up. Staff very rules oriented. Could not check in before 1:00. Could not remain at park to wait. Told to return to town and wait. Had to wear colored bracelet whenever in park; changed to a different color mid-stay. We've stayed in many KOAs through out U.S. and Canada. This was the worst. Never to return.
Nice clean park about 1 mile inland from Hwy 101 on the Chetco River. Inland means coastal fog usually does not reach the park. Well run, friendly staff. Some sites offer great views of Chetco River from your windshield.
