This used to be an RV park; now it is a trailer park catering to permanents. Junk around old trailers. Firepits being filled with trash that blows around when the wind comes up. Laundry is dirty and is open to the public. Beginning about 4:30am the young workers start leaving in their loud obnoxious trucks.
Rate is based on weekly rate. Tight level spaces. Park has lots of snowbirds who are gone, so park is quite empty. They will try to get you in the shady spaces in the summertime, which you must have. Very large park with big pool and 2 jacuzzis.
Rate is based on monthly rate. Coffin showers with poor shower heads. Small pool not maintained properly. Small park with tight, short, narrow, level spaces. Many permanents, however they are better than at many parks. Lots of road noise. No rules provided at check in. Person who set up next to us put out large speakers for their stereo, which played all day every day. Nice clubhouse, adequate exercise room and nice areas to walk.
Very quiet and some shade. Trash not picked up, portable toilet was tipped over close to the space we took. When we told them, they did come to upright it, but did not clean it up inside where it had spilled out. The laundry was filthy. Over priced park that has not been maintained for many years.
There is some road noise in this nice small park. Good clubhouse, private showers and good laundry. Verizon internet is vastly improved over the last time we were here a couple of years ago. Most spaces are level back ins, but when not busy he makes them pull through sites. He tries to space people out so you don't feel crowded, although spaces are good sized.
A relatively inexpensive place to stay that has full hookups. There are a few permanents. No showers are available. There are washers and driers available near the back door to the hotel. You can also use the pool and jacuzzi in the hotel.
Delightful pool and jacuzzi. Adequate exercise room. Good library/game room. The clubhouse is top notch. Both laundry areas are large, clean and reasonably priced. Good showers and bathrooms. Many permanents, but they follow the rules and are never a problem. Social events are planned and fun to attend. A great staff and the resort manager is available if needed.
Rate is based on monthly stay. Nice folks, lots of activities and very quiet. Big clean showers, best we've had anywhere. Lots of great spaces for all sizes of rigs, varying prices for spaces. Laundry is too small.
Short, level spaces. Parking lot, literally, with hook ups. People drive through it to access the motel and casino. Noisy from loud radios, traffic and assorted bangs and booms. No laundry or showers. We got very poor service at the restaurant.
All but one space was filled by permanents. This is a trailer park, not an RV park. Permanents start banging doors at 4:30 AM and all the trucks start up a little after 5 AM. The road noise from the semis engine braking is excessively loud.
Narrow spaces, with some shade trees. Trees are dying due to lack of watering. Showers and restrooms are surface clean, but could use someone who knows more about cleaning properly. The laundry room floor was disgustingly dirty. Small pool and nice rec room.
Long, wide, grassy spaces, most with shade. A good deal with the PA rate. Payment is cash only. A few spots have Satellite reception. Big shower with short hot water supply, could be cleaner. Daytime road noise, quiets down at night. Deer and elk in park sometimes.
This is more a trailer park than RV park. Sewer is for long term, monthly, only. There is never anyone in the office. Fill out the envelope and drop it in the slot. I was told when I called that the shower was free, it is not. I was also told you could get satellite reception from a rooftop mount dish, also not true. The stream is a rockbed, bone dry. Sites are not being maintained. Many firepits have beer cans and trash in them. Rule says dogs must be leashed, dogs are loose in park. 5mph speed limit is not enforced. Lots of dust. We enjoy trains, but this is ridiculous. It feels like the freight trains are coming right through the living room.
Campground has 3 pay coffin type showers, and small restrooms that are overused with so many campers. One of the two toilets in the men's restroom was backed up and not fixed in a timely fashion. Laundry is expensive. Outlying outhouses are disgusting. Although we stayed in a tent cabin, which was down a steep hill with a poor trail, we normally travel in an RV. Rv spaces were close together and short. They had the RVs crammed into every possible place, making maneuvering difficult. Roads are narrow.
This used to be a campground for tenters, where they have increased the size of some spaces for RVs. Dry camping with disgusting outhouses. Noisy, rude campers. ATV's buzzing through the campground at all hours of the day and night. If you can find any other accommodations, do so. Would never stay here again.
Short, tight spaces on asphalt. Crowded with many permanents. Nice clean showers. Laundry clean but overpriced. Friendly staff. Lots of highway noise. Overpriced with no competition. Good location to visit Seattle.
Office couple nice, but need more experience. Spaces short and tight. Connections in our space were way behind, 50 feet of water hose. We could not reach the sewer. It would have taken 40 feet of hose. An option we didn't know about is the Angel of the Winds Casino at exit 210, which has RV parking with electric for $15 a night. They have water to fill your tank and a dump. There are not many spaces, but they take reservations.
Spaces are long and wide on grass. Showers in restroom are pay, although those for the pool are free. Laundry has 2 washers and dryers. One dryer is still out of order. We were here a month earlier and it was out of order then, also. There are a lot of permanents that are segregated from transient RVers. A few of the permanents are not friendly and seem to feel entitled. When the small pool was open, it was filled with those who live there. Rule requiring children to be supervised was not enforced. In spite of the negative comments we give this park a 6 because of the spacious, quiet sites.
Difficult to find and get to. A huge disc golf tournament was on going on the weekend we were here. Very busy park. No showers or laundry. Restrooms are over used and dirty. The loud music and fireworks from the nearby casino compromise this beautiful setting.
Good value for the money. We were the only traveling RV'ers in the park. Permanents were not a problem. There are no restrooms, showers or laundry. Quiet park. Spaces are designed for motorcoaches to pull into, but are not pull throughs. Hookups are on the wrong side for towables to back in.
Our first nights sleep ended when the people next to us started loading and hitching their boat to go crabbing at 4:30 am. The noise didn't stop for an hour. The second night it was the loud radio in the coach behind us that played all night that kept us awake. The owner was very apologetic and we did not hear the radio again. We had to back out of our pull through space because we couldn't maneuver around the tree, sign and tied down awning of our neighbor. Sewer hook-ups are at the very back of the space, not good for some trailers. Showers are average clean and pay operated. Laundry needs better cleaning. Bugs and spider webs around window, in addition to the dirt build up on vents and hot water heaters show that they have not been wiped down in a very long time. There is a gas leak in the laundry.
We had a beautiful spot next to the water. Very pleasant office personnel. We even received a thank you card for staying here. It could have been that the water lines had not been used for awhile, but we had to run the water for several minutes to get the rust out of the line. Even with our filter had to use bottled water for coffee and drinking. It could have been tricky getting into some of the spaces if it were busy, as some are at odd angles. Shower was good. A tranquil setting, however, we were the only ones by the river.
Very nice park, with wide paved pull through sites. Would have been quiet had it not been for the extremely loud generator in the dry camping area. We had a very good reasonably priced meal at the Plank House restaurant in the Casino. Nice big showers and good laundry.
Loud I-5 traffic noise. Long, level, paved, angled pull-throughs. Spaces are well marked with good arrangement for hook ups. Jacuzzi not in service. Shower surface clean, needs good cleaning. Rules not being enforced, dogs loose, vehicles parked on grass, junk around permanent trailers. We witnessed a motor coach having to back out because permanents had vehicles preventing him from making the turn to pull forward.
We were placed in the worst space in the park. There were plenty of angle back-ins that were easy to get into. To reach the sewer (using both sewer hoses stretched to the limit) and fit into the space, we had to back past the electric box by less than an inch and avoid the patio pad (which was raised) on the door side. The restrooms and showers are permanently locked. Nice laundry.
If you park in the first row you may have to back out from your pull through spot, because at the time we were here, the road out was blocked off. Worst floor plan for a restroom/shower we have seen. No area to dress, undress or dry off without being exposed to the outside if someone opens the door. Two of the dryers in the laundry were not working (which management knew about), and did not have out of order signs on them.
This is a typical KOA. Dusty dirt roads and overpriced, with little or no shade, although they advertise mostly shady sites. Managers do not enforce rules. I complained about a truck speeding through the park going over 20 mph and kicking up dust. I was told that they could not control the speed people drive through the park. I was then told that if it bothers you, you can leave. The dog that roams the park unleashed belongs to the managers. We were provided with codes for the restrooms and laundry. The mens restroom has no keypad, the space has duct tape where the keypad was. Although I could not find another park in Lordsburg on the internet, there are three other parks that charge $20 per night on the old highway through town. We would not recommend this park to anyone and would not stay here again.
This is the Alley Oop RV Park, and should be called a trailer park. There are no hookups or spaces for RVs in the city park. There was one space available as all others are occupied by permanent workers. This is not a park for RVers. They have added spaces along the edge and have one in the driveway you need to use to exit from the first row. No restrooms, showers or laundry. Run by the city with a self pay box.
Spaces are tight, as is maneuvering in this park. Front of park is transient and back is permanents. This park is over run with cats. Leash rule is not enforced for dogs, including the owners dog. We walked out our door one day to find a fresh dog pile at the bottom of our steps. Laundry needs a good cleaning as do the showers. Soap that was left in the shower prior to my using it the first time was still there when we left a week later. Security gate required because of the neighborhood it is in.
Park is full of permanents, not just around the edge. Laundry consists of a washer and a dryer on the outside of each of the shower buildings. One dryer is out of order. Restroom doors are kept open and in the cold weather, it was too cold to use the showers in the unheated rooms.
The rates on their website are not current. Rate is $18 per night unless you stay 5 nights or more, then it is $16 per night. The trash cans were full when we got there and overflowing when we left 6 days later. The showers were filthy. Some water spigots need attention as they leak profusely. Rating would be lower but the low cost makes it a better deal.
Clean quiet park with wide long spaces. Good satellite reception but no internet or phone. Very polite friendly owner. Convenient location for visiting the area attractions. PA rate for 2 nights of 4 we stayed. Good park layout. Would stay here again.
Quiet park with strange layout. Restrooms are surface clean, could use a good deep cleaning. Nice walking trails behind and to the east of the park. Pricey laundry at $1.75 per load. PA rate for 2 of 3 nights. PA listing states checks accepted with ID. Owner would not take out of state checks. Credit cards were only accepted on the website when making reservations. Clean pool. Difficult to get a site with satellite reception due to so many trees.
Nice relaxing setting, along the river. Clean well kept up park. All back in smallish spaces. No laundry. Showers and restrooms could use a deep cleaning every couple of weeks. Good satellite reception. Good option over staying in the pricier area near Mackinaw City. Would stay here again.
Nice long pull through sites tucked behind trees. Quiet park. Very nice friendly people. Shower could stand a good deep cleaning and a larger shower curtain. Good satellite reception in our spot. Inexpensive laundry. Would return.
Park was quiet until the fireworks went off on Friday night at 10:30. Had a short back in space. Showers were pay. Many people have to circle through the park to get to the dump. Poor layout. Child oriented. Park pond was disgusting and mosquito's were plentiful. PA rate is not enough to get us to stay here again.
Spaces were not very wide and parking was cramped. Park can be difficult to maneuver. Not close to attractions. Quiet park, most of the time. Pool was overrun with children. Park allowed non campers to use the pool for a fee. Pool was kept very clean, but restrooms could stand a bit more attention due to heavy use from swimmers, tenters and some permanents. Would stay here again. Rate based on weekly rate.
Mostly permanents or seasonals here. Park is not close to anything (restaurants, attractions). We had a nice wide, long space, others were not so fortunate. Showers were small coffin-type and you had to pay, and could be cleaner. No laundry. Nice shade and we had satellite reception.
Very nice park. Was quiet during our stay. Showers were roomy, but could use air conditioning. Owners very pleasant and helpful. Has a nice laundry, but only 2 washers and 2 dryers. Good satellite reception and still got afternoon shade. Hook ups on wrong side. Parks drainage is excellent, as it rained quite heavily while we were here, and there was no mud or standing water.
Cost is based on a weekly rate. A pleasant quiet park, during our stay. A long stretch for water and electric hook up. Nice front desk help, friendly and very helpful. Shower was nice and roomy, but if you didn't get in early in the morning, it was hot during our visit, due to no air conditioning. Very small laundry, more than one person in there is a crowd. We were lucky with the trees to get satellite reception. Showers and laundry could use a deep cleaning.
Lousy method for check in. Huge park, lots of RV's and they line you up at the gate to check in one at a time. Those returning to the park can wait in the same long line if they don't get a card for the alternate gate. We believe because we used our PA discount we were given a spot in the least desirable area of the park. The first spot we were directed to had poor drainage, and due to recent rains it was a swamp. We set up in another spot that was better, but water was oozing out of the sewer area and due to the leaking water and mud you couldn't use one end of the pull through space. Had to call security because of fireworks in the park. Pools looked nice. Advertised jacuzzi, couldn't use as was drained. Shower rooms was too hot to use, no air conditioning. It was quiet for us most of the time. Other RV'ers weren't as lucky with so many rowdy children in the park.
We were looking for a quiet park for the fourth of July. This was not it. Fireworks going on until the early morning hours for 3 nights. Showers were adequate, no laundry. Nice afternoon shade, good satellite reception. Had level, grass/gravel, back in spots.
Except for location this park has no redeeming value. Front desk personnel unhelpful. Restrooms, showers and laundry were not cleaned while we were here, and didn't appear to have been cleaned for a long time. No paper towels in the restrooms during our stay. Cigarette smoke in the office is overpowering. We were denied a space with any shade because we were long term: 4 nights. Car radios, fireworks, loud vehicles and noisy neighbors at all hours. Permanent residents noisy and rude. Management does not enforce rules.
This is a very nice, well maintained park. Has a nice store and friendly, helpful front desk staff. Has a clean small pool (did not use it). Showers/restrooms were uncomfortably warm, low water pressure and poor shower heads. Their pizza was great. Rate is based on weekly special.
Choice of many long, level, graveled spaces in sun or shade. Great value. The advertisement we read said showers, but they were locked all the time. Park is hard to find due to no signage. Turn at the locomotive to enter park. Bring plenty of insect repellent.
The people at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. Our space was tight, although there are wider spaces set aside for big rigs. Spaces were fairly level. Restrooms were clean and shower was roomy enough. Nice clean laundry.
Easily accessible long pull through spaces. You can pick your own space. Nice setting near lake. Distance between coaches is good. Office is only open from 4:30 to 7pm. Sewer connections were uncapped and many were broken so you could not seal sewer connection. They never dumped the trash cans in the week we were there. They would remove the bags placed on top of the 3/4 full trash barrels. The smell was nasty from the rain that added to the trash cans. The restrooms and showers needed a good cleaning, and the trash can was overflowing. The shower room was hot, and I had to start the room air conditioner going immediately to make the room tolerable. I could barely reach it, and I am 6'2". The laundry room was filthy. If not for the room air conditioner it would have been unbearable and smelly. We had to figure out how to turn on the air ourselves, and it was not running. The washers and dryers needed repair or replacement. Only the middle dryer worked properly. One dryer had a jagged metal edge that caught clothes and damaged them. We felt sorry for the Cocker Spaniel puppy who was allowed to be chained up outside all day every day. There is a very small pool. We did not feel comfortable using it because of the teenagers from the adjoining trailer park making it their personal playground. Rate is based on weekly rate.
The meet and greet and information given to us from the lady in the office was excellent. Was very well organized and friendly. A little pricey for the area. Rate is based on Good Sam discount. DVD movies are available free with a $5 deposit. Very nice, easy to maneuver park. Spaces are long and wide. Showers were roomy. Did not use what appeared to be a nice recreation room, 3 hot tubs for adults only, miniature golf course, laundry or horseshoes. Lots of room to do your walking. Steakhouse nearby was recommended, but was not good the day we went.
We were in the same space as last year, a little narrow and just long enough for our trailer. Parking is on the street. Showers are nice. Laundry facilities are reasonably priced with good machines. Enjoyable walking or biking trail along Bear Creek. Free bread available while you are here, delivered on Tuesday each week. Rate is based on weekly rate. There is some overspray from the sprinklers, but not bad. Nestled in a nice 55-plus RV park, it's amazingly quiet for the nearness to major roads.
A very nice campground. Coin operated showers are available. Has lots of biking and hiking trails. There are fishing and boating lakes in the park. It's well patrolled by park staff, and quiet with large spaces.
The woman at the front desk seemed quite confused. Spaces were staggered but all of the connections were at one end in the section we were in. We were unable to get reception with our satellite dish because of the trees. If we stayed positioned in the space the way we were led in by the camp host, we would have needed 3 sewer hoses to reach the connection. Spaces were narrow and it was tight maneuvering in the park. Of the 5 restrooms all were locked but one, except during office hours when you could access the one in the main building. The laundry was expensive and small. The trees were dropping some sappy debris that stuck to everything. The ground was covered with them. They stuck to your shoes and then to the gravel, carrying them into your RV. They left yellow sap where they landed on the truck and coach. While we were here, they were using a concrete saw to cut out the sidewalk on one side of the restroom/laundry building. Very noisy and lots of cement dust. We could have been placed away from this as there were plenty of spaces available. Many camp workers were speeding through the park on their carts, easily exceeding 20 miles per hour. Posted speed was 9.5 or 10 depending on where you read it. They watered excessively and sometimes were not careful enough to avoid watering vehicles and RV's.
Park is small with all grass sites. Showers were old, large, concrete and apparently available to those who wished to come into the park and use them. Only one shower was usable. The mens restroom/shower was supposed to be unlocked as the lock was broken. However, it was locked when my husband tried to use it, with no one in it. Sprinklers were hitting the coach, and we had to have them shut off. There is a nice walk behind the park along the river. We encountered several deer on the walkway. Park is located in an undesirable neighborhood. Permanents take up about half of the available spaces and some RV'ers may be annoyed by very early start ups.
A very nice park and easy to maneuver. Has many shaded spaces and a small pond to fish. We chose a space out in the open so our satellite would work. We had a wonderful view of the mountains and the horses grazing. Has nice laundry and showers. Very pricey for our budget, as is everything in the area. Has the best dog run area we have encountered. Was comfortable walking in the park. Lots of things to do in the area.
Park was tight and the back in sites were short. Quite a bit of road noise plus a loud varying power-plant like hum. Pop was very pleasant and helpful. The shower was adequate, but could have been larger. Old restrooms and showers could have been cleaner. There was no laundry in the park. Very nice walking trail nearby at the Riverwalk. Good eating at Sonya's just down the road from the park.
A very easy park to maneuver. Sites are narrow but very long, with connections at both ends and multiple sewer hook ups. Sites are gravel. The lady at the front desk was efficient and friendly. Showers were roomy, with a large dressing area. There was a nice laundry, although we did not use it. The park was quiet. Units were spaced out since it was not very full.
It is a small park, and relatively quiet. It is tight getting around and has narrow spaces. Mostly permanents who were friendly. The washing machine (the one that was working) needed a serious cleaning. Residents need to be advised not to wash their rugs in them, as we saw one doing. The shower was good sized with plenty of hot water with good shower head. The owners were friendly. It is decent value for the money.
This rv park is overpriced. Spaces are very narrow and too short. We saw a mid sized 5th wheel had to back out of a pull through space because of tree limbs and tight cornering. It was difficult getting down some rows in just the tow vehicle. They even have spaces along the entry road where you park parallel. There are too many spaces in a very small park, creating congestion. The showers needed a serious cleaning and repair and maintenance. Baseboards are falling off the wall outside of the showers from the constant water saturation. The front desk personnel doing their job, nothing more.
Interior roads are wide and easy to maneuver. The space we were in was wide and level. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, they should fill in the holes in the entrance and add rock or gravel so the entire place doesn't turn into a giant mud puddle when it rains. Unsupervised teenage children of permanents hassled me when walking around the park. While in the laundry an employee came in and loaded one machine with the park rugs. Showers could stand a deep cleaning once a week.
Rate is based on weekly rate. Our space was very roomy, wide, long and level. Very friendly and helpful staff, even provided bus map. Very nice laundry and clean large showers. Nice wide roads. Great Mexican restaurant just across the street. Good bus service. We would stay here again.
Arrived after towing in heavy downpour. Most of park had dirt (mud) roads. We selected the only available space that didn't have water accumulation. Very tight to maneuver, partly due to vehicles parked in roadways. Pool was dirty. Shower was roomy and generally clean. Very noisy park. Highway noise and loud buzzing from heat pump in front of office. Mostly permanent residents with loud diesel trucks. Over nighters are segregated to the front of the park. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay here again because location is convenient compared to other options.
A very nice park with wide roads and level spaces. Spaces for over nighters are concrete and roads are paved. Permanent residents are segregated. Everything was clean and neat. Showers were very nice. Rate is PA for weekdays. Very quiet park. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
The office was not staffed when we arrived nor most of the time we were there. After waiting we were checked in by a teenager. When hooking up we discovered that the sewer pipe was filled to the top. When we finally found him again he said it was normal. When we tried to dump, it backed up. We were again searching for someone to resolve the issue. When we left we had to move to another space to dump. Sunday night there was a big noisy party at the residence. It went on until well after 1 am. When we mentioned this to the owner he was unaware of any party as he was away. The pool and spa were locked, although we were told they were available. Upkeep of the sites is poor. Mostly permanent residents. Sites were relatively level and permanent sites were neat. We did eventually talk to the owner who offered us a free night for our next visit. We will not return.
The space was a paved, level and long pull-thru. Watching the deer was enjoyable. Good star gazing. 8 miles out of town. The park is quiet, except for the permanent residents who run their diesel engines so long early in the morning. The old concrete restrooms and showers need a major cleaning and regular upkeep. There is no laundry. The speed limit is not enforced. It makes you a little nervous when the camp host carries around a 30-30.
Basically a parking lot with hookups. No laundry, restrooms or showers. Although, the motel manager said we could use one in one of the rooms if we needed to. Manager was nice. Large enough pull though and relatively quiet most of the time. Managed by the motel, the RV park lacks attention. In town location.
The managers/owners (?) were friendly and helpful. We asked to change spaces, which was no problem. Convenient location and generally quiet. Space was long and level. The road through the park is rough. Although relatively clean, the rest rooms could stand a little more attention.
Park is next to Interstate 10 and has road noise. Also occasional planes going over from the nearby airport. Restrooms/showers were not clean. Lukewarm water in shower. Only one restroom/shower for men and one for women. Large rocks, rather than gravel was used for the park. The park is mostly permanent residents. Not very neat around old trailers. We looked at four other parks in town and this was still the best choice.
A very noisy park right next to the highway. Neither of the two spas is working. The pool is a murky green, in need of cleaning. The "state of the art work out facility" has a minimal number of free weights and only half of the universal machine is working. Park is mostly filled with permanent residents. Some have been allowed to skirt their RV's with raw plywood. One even has a 6 foot chain link fence all the way around it. It rained numerous times during our stay and the sprinklers continued to run and create large puddles, wasting a lot of water. Many sprinkler heads are in need adjustment. Several streetlights have broken bulbs within the park. Park had a nice neat appearance at first glance. It is overpriced.
There is nice grass and shade. The park was difficult to maneuver. We had to ask two people to move their vehicles to back into our space. After we were parked in our space a motorcoach came in and the vehicles had to be moved again for him. He ended up complaining about the space and being moved. The only way he fit was to be pushed up against the bushes and the back. He had no place to park his toad. They moved him to a pull through space. The water connections were by the roads. Depending on whether you had a pull through or a back in they were all the way at the front or back. We had to use 30 feet of hose to connect to the water. The electric was all the way at the back. The sewer was toward the front and you had to dodge it when backing in.
The Spaces were long and wide. There were very few people in park. It is a good place to stop for a night or two but there was no sewer hook up. There is a dump station by the office. There is some road noise, but not bad. The Park needs a little tender loving care.
Overall this is a nice campground. There is a very nice rec center and large showers. The sites were not too close together, level, and long enough to park the truck and trailer with room left over. When we checked in we were advised of specific rules verbally, including the 5 mph speed limit, and not to put any carpet or mat on the grass. The rules were not enforced and those most frequently violating the speed limit were employees on ATV's. Teenage employees need to stop using profane language.
This is a very quiet well kept park. The managers were friendly and helpful. The spaces are close together. All spaces are back in. We had a dog next to us that was never leashed as required by park rules. The dog startled us a couple of times by coming around the end of our trailer and barking and growling at us. Watering was done by hand set sprinklers and the man was constantly walking within inches of our windows when setting sprinklers.
The pool was unusable due to the dozens of children from town occupying the pool during our week stay. The park charges the locals to use the pool. The restrooms were not clean due to the overuse by pool patrons. The showers were very small and shower heads were too low. There are no handicapped shower facilities. The day we arrived they were setting sprinklers by hand and watering the sides of the coaches. There is noise from the highway and nearby train tracks. The water pressure varies greatly. They allow vehicles to park on the interior roads making access tight. he staff is very young and unable to provide much information on the area. The views are spectacular. The price is based on the weekly rate.
