Loved this park! Being in the national park it is quiet and in a lovely setting. Our site was in the row that backed into a lot of trees; behind us was a paved road leading to a picnic area with more grass and trees. The campground rentals are staffed by the Rio Grande Village Store clerks; ours was very friendly and accommodating. He did his best to space us all out so that no one was squeezed by a neighbor.

Large park, very clean, easy to get around. Right off the interstate, so there was easy access, but freeway noise was not too bad. Had a couple of fenced dog areas which was very nice. Since it was a large park, that meant a variety of dog walking routes. Trash pickup was at the campsite each day, which was a nice convenience.

The park is clean and adequate; everything works. However, there is a sign up in the office window stating that the property is for sale and there are signs that some maintenance is beginning to be deferred. This was not enough of a drawback to make the park no longer nice, though. There are lots of trees and a trail down to the river. The lady who owns the park is very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and made some good recommendations about what to do and see. Since we were there at the end of the summer season the park was nearly empty; this gave us a lot of quiet and space around our site which we enjoyed. We would stay here again.

This park is sandwiched between I-90 and a main drag so it's not the quietest place we've stayed. Also, the camping sites and packed pretty tightly. However, there are lots of trees for shade - an important plus for our dog - and it's the best option if you want to stay near Wallace. The RV park in Wallace didn't look like much. The Blue Anchor has the added benefit of being right by the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, and we really enjoyed being able to ride our bikes right out of the campground, across the road, and pick up the trail so easily. We would stay here again.

There are lots of trees here; a plus for us because we wanted the shade for our dog. The other RV park in town is out in the blazing hot sun. The campsites are pretty tight together but if you're a good driver it's not a problem. Yes, there are a fairly large number of permanent residents there but that didn't bother us. It was clean and fairly quiet. We would stay here again.
