We really enjoyed our stay at Elkhorn. The staff was extremely friendly and the check in process was efficient. The entrance to the park is narrow and the layout can be a little tricky for a large rig but the roads are nicely paved. Our site was gravel and level with a wood deck for our picnic area and a grass yard. There are paved sites available. The hookups were good with good water pressure. The trees make for lovely shaded campsites but they interfered with our satellite TV. The park has cable TV but we didn't take advantage of it. There are a lot of organized activities for adults and children along with a nice playground. This park is one of our favorites and we would definitely camp here again.

This park is conveniently located to I-20 and is perfect for a one night stopover. The park is very accessible with easy to navigate gravel roads. The campsites (ours was a pull-through) are level gravel with a cement patio area. The hookups are good with good water pressure. We camped in a 40 foot rig and our rate paid reflects Passport of America discount. We would definitely camp there again.

This park is a little off the beaten path, the roads in/out are narrow and a bit challenging for a large rig. The park itself has gravel roads that are generally easy to navigate except one turn at the end of the pond is a little tight. They are currently renovating the park and the pool was not up and running during our stay. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The campsites are grass and some are more level than others with picnic tables and fire pits. The pond is pretty with a lot of ducks and wildlife. We did see a snake in the pond so I would watch children and pets closely. We camped here as a over nighter and found it very relaxing.

We used this park as a one nighter on a cross country trip. I never personally met any of the office staff as I made the reservation the day of our stay over the phone and we arrived after office hours. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and left our welcome packet on the message board. The only problem we had was missing the entrance to the park, it was not well marked. Our campsite was a easy in/out, gravel, level pull through site with good hookups and good water pressure. There are no security gates into the park. We would overnight here again.

The entrance to this park is a little tight and narrow for big rigs but we made it with a 40 ft rig with no problems. Plenty of open or shaded sites to choose from, having said that I would stick to the open sites if you have a large rig. The interior roads of the park are solid surface, easy to navigate and the campsites are nicely packed gravel, level and with good hookups. The office staff were friendly and the check in process was smooth and efficient. The park is conviently located to the town of Gettysburg and the other attractions in the area. We didn't use the showers but the restrooms were clean. We would camp here again.

This is a very nice kid friendly park. The roads within the park are solid surface and easy to navigate. The campsites are mostly grass covered gravel with a few paved sites available. Because we camped on a paved site, I can't review the quality of the gravel campsites. Our paved space was small, no room to park our truck, but level and the hookups were good with good water pressure. The check in process was smooth and efficient and the camp store was well stocked. The friendly staff were more than happy to assist us with purchasing tour packages and explained the public transportation system. The WeGo bus stop is directly in front of the park. The bath houses are very nice and clean.

This campground is very basic, not much in the way of landscaping or amenities. The roads in/out are solid surface and easy to navigate. The campsites are adequate along with the hook ups. It was very windy at the sites closest to Lake Erie and the beaches were dirty, littered with debris, trash and dead fish. Unfortunately we happened to visit the area when the mayflies were swarming. We were looking forward to seeing Lake Erie and I'm sorry to say I was very disappointed with this campground.

This is a relativity new park, it is conveniently located and perfect for a one night stay. The only downside was the freeway noise, but the cafe next door and convienient grocery stores make up for it. The owner was very friendly and talkative, telling us all about his plans for landscaping and improvements. There are no showers/bathrooms and no laundry facilities. The sites are easy in/out and level, we never unhooked our fifth wheel. The hookups are good with good water pressure. We will absolutely camp here again.

This park is a little pricey but has great access to a very nice beach. We stayed in an ocean front site but because it was a "back in" space we didn't get the ocean view we wanted from inside, but the views from our campsite were fantastic. The camp sites are level concrete pads with sandy/grass yards and lots of space between sites. The hookups were good with good water pressure. The park has a very nice pavilion and deck with steps down to the beach. There are clean bath houses located throughout the park with one located near the beach. The roads within the park are solid surface and very easy to navigate. The staff was not overly friendly but not rude either. The pool and hot tub were clean but crowded and the 'no children in the hot tub' rule was not enforced. They also charged $6 per day per pet. I loved the beach and the easy access but found the park overall to be adequate.

The roads leading into the park are very narrow. The staff was friendly and our check in went smoothly but navigating the very narrow, rocky, uneven and poorly marked "road" within the campground was a nightmare with our 40 ft trailer. The first site we were given was not level and so narrow we were not able to open our slides. The site we finally managed to get our rig into was very rocky and sloped so badly we were afraid of falling downhill when exiting our front door, also our sewer connection was uphill. There are lots of trees which makes for a lovely park but very difficult to maneuver with a large rig. We were given a WiFi code, but not the name of the network so I was unable to use it. According to the office there are cement pad sites at the front of the park; I recommend anyone with a large unit to use those sites. The office did waive the activity fee as we had no children with us. Because the size of our rig we will not go back, but if you have a small camper and children it's a great park.

The GPS assured us we were headed in the right direction but the industrial park we were driving through had us a bit unsure. Once we turned into the park, we entered into a beautifully landscaped RV park. The staff was very friendly and we were lead to our site by a staff member in a golf cart; who even offered to help guide us during the parking of our fifth wheel. The camp sites were concrete and level, beautifully landscaped and the hook ups were good. We had dinner in the bar/cafe and thought the food was good and our waitress was wonderful. The weather did not permit us to take advantage of the pool but it appeared to be clean and well taken care of. There is a shuttle available to go to The French Quarter but we found the time schedule too restrictive. We would absolutely camp here again.

The park and sites are easy to get in/out of. The sites are level, concrete with grass yards and a picnic table. The hook ups are good with good water pressure. We stayed 1 night in a central pull through site and finished our week in a waterfront site. Having said that I don't think there is a "bad" site in the park. There are outdoor showers located at both beach entrances; and the beach area is small but clean with chairs, loungers and umbrellas. The staff was friendly and helpful, one member even came to our site to make sure we were settled in. We can't wait to go back.

The park is well laid out with cement roads and easy access to the sites. We camped in a lake view spot and had beautiful views of the lake. Sites are fairly level and spacious. My in laws rented a cabin while we were there; the cabins are cute and well appointed. Several sites were occupied by full timers and a little messy, but otherwise it is a clean park. We are going back for the 4th of July fireworks on Lake Livingston.

If you're looking for a resort with a pool you're out of luck. If you want a quiet, restful park with friendly owners, a fishing pond and beautiful views; you have hit the jackpot. It's centrally located for the areas attractions. The only negative is the saw mill across the hwy but it closes early in the day so your evenings are peaceful and quiet. The campsites are grassy with an under layer of rocks and fairly level. The owners are knowledgeable about the area and brought us homemade soup the second night we camped. We would absolutely camp here again.
