Very comfortable, restful campground, spared from recent floods by being on high ground--though access from I-29 (exit 19) via MO-HH was blocked by rain--take 18 instead and there are signs. Friendly & helpful staff, easy entrance & access to sites. Don't let hilly appearance scare you off! Great cable & WiFI even though we were 5-6 minute walk from the office. It appears to be a summer destination campground for extended families so the pool is well used, nice playgrounds and walking areas as well as pond fishing ($). Would be a 10 if sites were larger but they were at least adequate for motorhome with towed car. Cool-looking separate tent area as well as cabin areas.
Excellent for an overnight, but muddy after heavy rains--sites partially graveled, fairly level. Outstanding customer service and friendliness. Good laundry (especially jumbo washer & dryer). Convenient to okay restaurant and good grocery. Interstate noise drops to almost nothing after dark.
Wonderfully shaded by groomed trees, very easy big-rig pull-thru access. Despite recent heavy rains, the sites were not muddy--large crusher-run gravel, well packed. Onsite owners are extremely pet& people-friendly. Excellent wi-fi. Would be a 10 if it had cable and rec room. Almost no noticeable highway noise. A great place to catch some peaceful rest, not a destination as far as we could tell!
There was a very friendly staff, and the campground was good for a short stay. Sites were gravel and reasonably level. It was quiet despite being near highway. Though it was near town we didn't explore much--no town map on campground map. About half of the sites were permanent sites, but clean & maintained, not junky. There was good Wi-Fi. We didn't pay for cable.
This is the perfect campground for visiting Cody. It's a 5 min walk to the Buffalo Bill Historic Center (5 museums in one). Campground is clean, quiet, easy access even for back-in sites. We have a 40 foot motorhome and got a back-in with canyon behind us & great views. Laundry is excellent--pricier because machines are all new front-loaders. Staff is relaxed & friendly & extremely helpful-even told me where best running routes are in town, & helped me secure campsite inside Yellowstone. Sites are close but not lacking in space or maneuverability. It would be a solid 10 if all sites were paved. They are all nice & level, and well packed gravel if not paved. Good Wi-Fi & cable.
This is a clean, new, convenient campground with level, gravel sites and amazing flat valley location for views of the Spanish Peaks. Walk to town, small grocery less than a mile away. Playground, communal fire pit & barbecue, nice rec room with laundry. No TV channels to speak of! Friendly town, friendly owners. Summer weekends you can take the train in the morning to the Great Sands National Park--all day trip (930-430 or so). Wi-Fi didn't work but the owner was working on it, Verizon had no cell signal on site but in town it did. Alltel cell signal was strong.
This park is a gem. Easy to find, easy to park, not crowded. Friendly family-like atmosphere, with owners on-site almost all the time. Very quiet & peaceful despite location on one of the main roads of Santa Fe. Clean, convenient in every way.
I give it a 6 because it's exactly as advertised. It is neat as a pin, office staff were really pleasant, and the site was clean & accessible. The location is convenient to the highway but not much else. There are no amenities other than the site & laundry. Beware if you are alight sleeper, there are really bright (sodium) streetlights right over the transient sites! Good for security, not for sleep.
We loved this park, and were so impressed with the creativity in design of the sites and amenities. The pull-through sites were angled perfectly, and separated from one another by a board fence and small garden for each site. Laundry was inexpensive, clean, and convenient, bathrooms sparkling clean, indoor swimming pool was sparkling clean. Workout room was equipped with 2 treadmills, bike, weight machine, and free weights. Hot tub was being moved to a spot in the pool building while we were there. There is a whole new rec building with a generous basement game room which doubles as storm shelter. Family owned & operated, with a great deal of pride. Convenient to Amarillo new and old.
Be sure of what you're getting into before you give up your credit card number! In 4 years of motorhome travel, we have never left a campground before the time we had paid for--but tried to leave this one. Unfortunately, the policy (not explained on the telephone when I reserved 2 hours before arrival) is to give no refunds past 11 am the day PRIOR to the reservation. No flexibility, even though we were placed on a 30 amp, unlevel site when I had requested 50 amp. I will say they offered another site, but we couldn't get the motorhome in it due to trees and a telephone limiting turn radius. Once we got back on the 30 amp site, we discovered how impossible it was to level. Yet a third site was offered, but by that time we didn't want to keep jockeying the motorhome around. The manager was courteous but displayed no sympathy to our distress. This campground should be great for tent camping under the stars! And the work campers were extraordinarily pleasant and kind.
