Planned to stay one night, and stayed two to keep out of bad weather on the drive home. Park has paved level sites, clean picnic table and room to put the awning out. Restaurant in the casino had good food but horrible service. They do not take reservations but it wasn't full the two nights we were here.
Nice campground with paved roads, lots of shade. You don't realize you're in the middle of a built up area with stores and houses less than a quarter mile away. Lots of ants at the site we had, plus the trees were so close couldn't get the awning up, but other than that would recommend this campground.
Stayed overnight here a few years before and returned based on that stay. Was here for 4 nights and enjoyed it. WiFi worked well, clean park, friendly staff, great pool. Campground is next to the airport but not many flights and being inside with the a/c running didn't hear anything. Summer staff could be a bit more familiar with the attractions in the area, but other than that enjoyed our stay.
Impressive entrance but that's all that was impressive about this campground. Our "pull through" site was just a backin site behind one they keep open so you can pull through it. The water hookup was in a pit in the ground that filled with rain water when it rained. Lots of long term trailers here. Big dips in the roads to worry about bottoming out with the trailer. Don't think we'd stay here again.
This park could be very nice but needs a bunch of work. Owners were here to check us in and admitted that they were still working on the conversion from being a KOA park. Site was in the trees and quiet enough. We stayed here overnight on the way south. Has tight turns on the roads.
We stayed at this park for the July 4th weekend and it was horrible. The access roads were one big pothole. The dust stirred up by driving on them, was everywhere. The kids were out of control driving the golfcarts/4 wheelers. One thought it was fun to spin around in front of the bathrooms. We had a sprinkler on the road to try to keep down the dust. The sites we were on, were new gravel so the trailer settled the 3 days we were here. One good thing was that the pool was nice.
Clean and quiet. Near the interstate but didn't hear the traffic. It is tricky getting into the campground since you have to go down the interstate entrance ramp a short distance then turn into the frontage road. The other interesting item is there is a large billboard over the frontage road that looks like it will take the top off your trailer, but the road drops down enough to give clearance.
From the attitude of the person taking us to our site to the actual site itself this was not a good campground. The rear of my trailer was over 24" off the ground, while the front was only 9" off the ground. Trees prevented us from putting out the awning, and from pulling through the site, since we would have hit the rear of the trailer making the turn out of the site. Had to back out of the site downhill. Glad I had 4WD. Won't come back here.
Nice campground with fantastic sites. Office people put us on a "camping suite" site with my sister-in-law, but the site didn't fit 2 35' trailers plus our suburban and pickup truck. They moved us to two different sites without a problem. Only 2 problems. First there is a $2 a day "resort" charge and, second they want $7.99 a day for WiFi access. All the other campgrounds we had stayed at on this trip had FREE WiFi.
Nice campground and friendly people. Sites were right across from the dunes and the ocean access. Sandy sites with sparse grass. Cable had a good variety of channels. Only problem was that access into the campground was a challenge during heavy traffic periods.
From the first minute when we pulled in and found out they had only one site instead of the two sites we had reserved, to them having to have to move a motorhome so I could make the swing into the campsite, to them putting my sister-in-law and her husband in front of the maintenance building, and finally their needing 40' of sewer hose to connect to the sewer, this was a real mess. If you like camping in a parking lot this is the place for you. I couldn't put out my awning because it would hit the trailer next to me and the morning we were leaving I had to hurry up to hook up because we were blocking the campground road due to the size (or lack thereof) of the site. Never again!
Nice park, office staff not really friendly. Large sites and plenty of room between trailers. Not really great TV reception, hard to get the Bears game especially when they were playing the Packers. They have rental boats and pontoon boats so we went out on the river. Nice campground.
