This is a pretty park out in the country with cows, bulls, and horses in the fields next to the park. Roads inside the park are gravel and the sites are gravel and grass. It was a very quiet park during our stay. However, we have an RV so we can travel comfortably with our furbaby. We are very responsible pet owners that keep our dog on a leash when outside, pick up after our dog, and keep him as quiet as possible. We did not feel free to even sit outside or walk with our dog here because we were afraid he would relieve himself somewhere other than the potty pen. (There are several posters on trees and it even states in their rules that dogs are to relieve themselves in the potty pens). This is the first time we have ever felt uncomfortable in a RV park and for that reason we would not ever return to this park. It is also the reason for the low score.
Mount Vernon RV Park is an extremely well-kept park. The staff and other guests are very friendly. The sites are gravel (some also with grass) and the outer roads are asphalt. The laundry areas, restrooms, and showers are clean. They have a club room that has books and a puzzle that you can work on. This is a very pet friendly park. We have enjoyed this park so much that we extended our stay here.
This is a very large campground that is broken up into loops so it doesn't feel that large. It is located in a wooded area and is a great place to stay in the park if you want full hookups for your RV. The sewer connection does need a rubber donut to work well (it can work without), but these are not sold in the office or the camp store. We have stayed here a couple of times and enjoy the convenience of this location.
We enjoyed our stay at Colter Bay Village RV Park. The park is located in a beautiful wooded area and the sites are quite adequate. The sites could use some leveling. We noticed several people had a difficult time with this...wheels off the ground of a big motorhome is scary! Beautiful, but pricey, place to stay in the park.
We have stayed in this clean park several times. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Our site this time was not quite as level as others we've been in, but it was not a problem. The laundry room is very clean and has several washers and dryers. We would stay here again if in this area.
This is a pretty campground and the workers were very nice. We were not real happy with our site as it was very muddy and other sites were available that weren't. We could not get any television channels. There are no sewer hookups, but a dump station is available. The site was level.
We were lucky to be able to make last minute reservations for the Columbus Day weekend at the height of the foliage season. This is a beautiful campground made more so by the wonderful attitudes of the owners and workampers. The campground is well-maintained throughout. The laundry has five washers and five dryers that work very well. The dog walk is convenient and provides a happy sniffing environment for the canines. We would definitely return to this campground.
This is one of the best campgrounds at which we have stayed. We found Pumpkin Patch to be well-maintained and very clean. The sites are gravel and are level. The work-campers are helpful and friendly. This is a great location for exploring the state. We took many day trips from here during our two month stay. If you want a great place that is centrally located (close to Bangor), this is a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
Sugar Ridge is in a great location. The spaces are terraced and mostly well-maintained. However, the site we were given stays quite damp and muddy. This does not work well with two white dogs which they knew we had when we made the reservations. We asked if we could move to another site and the only other option we were given was a site that was too short for the motorhome and tow vehicle. I was very surprised that given we are staying almost two weeks and actually wanted to extend our stay, that something else would not be offered. It seems that trying to make the customer happy doesn't matter here. Like I stated, this is a great location, and we will enjoy our stay in Vermont, but will not return to Sugar Ridge in the future.
This is a beautiful campground. The sites are grassy and fairly level. Lake Champagne is a well-maintained and well-run campground. Seasonal campers keep their areas neat and most have flowers and decorations that add to the beauty of this area. We stayed here a month and totally enjoyed our stay. If ever back in Vermont I would want to return to this campground. Our price reflects a monthly rate.
This is a large, wonderful RV park. There are a variety of different types of sites available and they are level and roomy. We were there very early in the season and the price reflects our Passport America rate. Our original plan to stay four days turned into almost a month. It is a great location for visiting Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor since both are just minutes away. The members of the staff were all very friendly and willing to help in any way they could. The laundry room is clean and is the best that we have used in our travels. The restrooms and showers were also clean and well-maintained. This is a great location and we would definitely return when in the area.
This is a very nice small RV park. There are a lot of trees that provide nice shade. The asphalt sites are level and roomy. Cable and Wi-Fi are good and included in the price. The owner is very hands-on and eager to assist his guests. He was constantly updating things while we were there. We planned on staying just over the Memorial Day weekend and ended up staying a month. This is a very comfortable park and in a good location to sight see the surrounding areas. We would definitely stay here again. If you stay here, don't miss breakfast at Parker's Maple Sugar Barn just down the road.
This was a really nice campground. There was no one in the office when we arrived, even though it was early in the afternoon, so we just drove around and found a site. Later someone on a golf cart did come to check on us. Laundry area was nice, but hot. Definitely would stay here again.
This is a very nice campground. It was well maintained and very clean. The person in the office was very friendly and helpful. This park offered large, level, shady sites. We would definitely stay here again.
There was no one in the office when we arrived. We chose a site and left the money in the drop box. Still no one around as we left the next day, so we couldn't get a receipt. The grass had not been mowed in some time and several sites appeared to need maintenance very badly. Most sites were muddy and needed more gravel for better drainage. Our site did not have a sewer hookup. Pull throughs did not appear to have full hookups that we could see. This campground was shady and with a little care, could be quite beautiful.
We found this park in Trailer Life directory and were so glad that we did. It was definitely a rural setting, but near the city of Duluth, so it was perfect for our stay. The people were great to help out with some driving directions we needed. We stayed here two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again. This location was very clean and well maintained. The sites are spacious and level. The area had wonderful landscaping with flowers, vintage farm equipment, and a windmill. Beautiful classic cars were being restored in the owner's barn.
We found this park to be well maintained, clean, and quiet. The laundry area was very adequate and clean. Wi-Fi is available in the office area. We almost did not stay here because of a bad review, but so glad that we did. The people that run this park are very cordial and helpful. They gave tips on where to visit in this area, restaurants, and driving directions. Great place to stay when visiting Door County. We were very pleased with our stay here and would most definitely stay here again. Our rate reflects the weekly rate plus an additional adult.
