Great staff and a large park. Many sites were on the ground and rain made for a muddy mess at times. Hookups were fine and facilities kept clean. Plenty of shade trees around. Good for shorter stay, but we would check around if looking to stay for an extended time due to the lack of more gravel or blacktop to setup on.
Rate was with Good Sam discount. Beautiful location with lots of shade from tall pines. Main area of park laid out in a long rectangular circle among the pines. Hookups were fine. Only two restrooms for a large park, but they were kept clean. Looked like a lot of Seminole fans were staying for the season and that had the park pretty full. A nice overnight stop.
Nice location for getting around town and a great price for Destin. Small park but main park area is well maintained. Family owned and working to improve the park and doing well at it. Clean facilities and helpful staff. Can be a bit difficult to locate, but office gives excellent directions.
This is a no frills park and there is no cable, no Wi-Fi and no bath facilities. Family owned and appears to be on a working horse ranch. Some of the most friendly folks you will ever come across. Only a few spots and nothing fancy. Quiet, hookups worked and we got a good nights rest. Not much else to ask for in this area.
Fool Hollow sets the bar high for all the rest. If you don't enjoy this "gem", you don't enjoy "camping". Sites are level, concrete, excellent hookups and while the park is huge, you feel secluded and lost in the forest of pines surrounding you. Very clean facilities and helpful staff. I almost hate to tell the world about this place because we plan to come back again and again and again. The only negative is they only let you stay for 15 days. But that means we will always be able to get a spot when we return.
A large park with a well kept landscape. Several bath houses that are kept clean, although a bit dated. Hookups worked well and tables & BBQ stands at most sites. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Large outdoor pool was welcome and several ponds around the park added to the atmosphere. Only 2 negatives of mention. The dumpsters are located on one far end of the park only and the speed bumps are numerous, especially when hitched to your trailer. Overall, a nice park, although "resort" is a bit of a stretch, in my opinion. Rate was for a week.
This was a great find for Louisiana! Tough to find good parks in this state and Breaux Bridge happened to fit our daily mileage goal. We found excellent reviews so gave it a try and were more than pleased that we did. Owner was exceptionally helpful & friendly. She accommodated our every request, even allowing me to clean off a huge mess of "love bugs" we picked up on the way in. The park has grass, shade trees, a walking area and some of the finest bath/laundry facilities we have found in 7 years of RV'ing. The bath house is sparkling clean, nicely appointed and has huge dressing areas with new fixtures. A nice library/ TV room just off the laundry. Water, electrical and sewer hookups are very good. This was a great find and we will return. Rate reflects a Good Sam discount.
Sunny Acres has been a favorite through the years but it is slowly starting to show her age, sadly. Facilities are still kept up nicely and on a regular basis but things are starting to show their age a bit. Still a friendly staff and convenient location. And always an interesting bunch of guests staying at Sunny Acres. Hope to see some TLC showing up soon or we will have to look at other options for our frequent visits to Las Cruces.
Rate is based on a monthly rate. We stayed here for 2 months while visiting friends and having medical issues attended to. We are full timers. Would like to have rated this park much higher as it is good in most all areas, except "cleanliness". The restrooms are generally horrible and trashed daily by long term campers. Floors are mostly wet & muddy. Shower stalls are dingy and filled with hair. I was afraid to touch the shower curtains. Toilets were many times akin to a Rocky Mountain Horror Show! My wife quit using them. It would have been nice if paper towels were present so campers who cared could have helped in the clean up of the few that were slobs. A nice, inviting pool but it seemed to always require I skim an abnormally large numbers of bugs off the top before getting in the water. Then I met a young lady who was at the pool with her young children and we got to talking about the bug issue. She has had pools most of her life and suggested we check the skimmers to see if they had been cleaned recently. They were filled to overflowing! Sad to see such a nice park miss the mark on such basic and controllable issues. We will not stay here again because of the cleanliness problem. If you don't care to use the park facilities and use your own all the time, I would have no problem staying here again.
Not a fancy place but clean, exceptionally level, well managed and has a view to die for. The owner is on site and is one of the best you will find. Rest rooms are older but clean. Could use a bit more privacy for shower stalls but the pluses of the park outweigh any small negatives. No better place in B.V. and we will be back. Extended our stay because we enjoyed the area so much.
This park is nice but the rating is for the "location" right next to Blanco River and in the forested mountains outside of Pagosa Springs. Close to some great hikes. Lots of old blue spruce trees backed up against the mountain slope. Nice facilities kept spotless and a hot tub to soak away the aches from hiking & tubing. Staff (the owners) are the best you will find! We will be back frequently.
Good location for the area and right off Interstate. Not fancy, but a couple of brothers working hard to make a go of things. Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Park is sparse and has few trees. Fairly level with good hook ups. Close to Shiner and it's world class brewery, but not much else around.
The only good thing about this park was the sites were fairly level and the staff was friendly. It is in need of some serious repair and updating and the rest rooms were worse than most outhouses. They claimed to be updating them soon but they looked like they were condemned long ago. Not worth the stop until some improvements have been made. Several nicer looking spots up I-25 towards Albuquerque.
This was a sad stop. Nice folk but a park in bad need of repairs and updating. Rest rooms were clean but horribly outdated and in need of repair. Neither myself nor my spouse would use the showers. Ants all over the place and a bad gas smell throughout the campground. We will choose another of the several campgrounds not far from Post next time out.
Not a very attractive park and the restrooms were not attended to on a regular basis. You had a key but the doors were hardly ever closed so what good was it? The worst part was a $10 key deposit required for the rest room key and you could not get it back until the office opened in the mornings, which was late, not early. So forget about an early departure unless you want to forgo the $10 deposit you made. Will look for another choice in future visits.
This is a big park with lots of amenities and close to Lake Monroe. We were excited because it was a 5 Star rated park by Woodalls. Not even close. Restrooms were not maintained for at least 2 days at a time during our week stay and showers were only done about once a day. Not enough for such a big park. Wi-Fi was very spotty and this has been an ongoing problem there for years. Out in the country, about 12 miles from Bloomington. Staff is very friendly and helpful, just not as attentive to the restrooms as they should be. Were told no problems due to the floods but when we arrived, lake access was very limited. Would appreciate more honesty from the staff as it may not have caused us to change destinations but left a bad taste anyway. Not a bad park at all, just not what it is built up to be.
Difficult to find and no one around to pay or check in with. Small park back in the trees off the highway. Well maintained and restrooms serviced regularly. Bright lights on at night and sites not that level in most spots. Not a bad spot but lacking because of no one being on site. Several miles from town as well.
Very nice park in the woods. Feels much like a State Park. Two pools, one for kids and one for adults. Restrooms are older but clean and in good repair. Some minor leveling problems. A bit far out from Tyler but worth the drive. Very peaceful and resting stay.
Two young guys working very hard to make this a top park and succeeding. Very convenient to the Interstate and not noisy as one might expect. Rest rooms are well attended to, level sites throughout and a good spot to spend the night.
