We have been coming to this park for many years but this last visit might just be our last! The sites were dirty. The "grass" between the sites is dead and full of burs that get in your carpets. We counted 8 bottle caps, 2 plastic lids from milk jugs, 4 pop tops from cans, dozens of cigarette butts, dog doo, and even some used rubber gloves by the sewer connection. I don't think it had been raked or cleaned in any way for a long time, judging by the debris we had at this site. Plus, the picnic table was covered with bird droppings and was disgusting. Needless to say, we didn't use it. It's too bad this park seems to be going downhill. We noticed the same thing last time, but let it go thinking that maybe it was just a busy time for them and they hadn't been able to clean it up. I guess it's because it is one of only 2 parks in the area that has hook-ups, so they get customers anyway for that reason. We won't recommend this park anymore to friends. And I doubt we will be back anytime soon.
This is a very nice park. It is well laid out with lots of room between sites. The staff was very nice and friendly. They gave us a site with a "lake view", but it was a back in site so we couldn't see the lake. And that part of the park didn't have WiFi service. So we asked to move to a different spot and they were very accommodating and found us a great spot-K-2-that the WiFi worked in very well. There are squirrels and chipmunks running all over and are fun to watch. The mosquitos are really bad so bring lots of spray. We got bitten several times just hooking up our facilities!! The lake is right across the road and is beautiful. Crater Lake is a short drive away. We would stay here again.
We found this park adequate for our one night stay. The clerk was friendly and accommodating. She was just helping out that day but got us checked in OK. We had a nice view of the grassy tent area and our spot was shaded by big trees. There is traffic noise but not bad at night. This park fills up by late afternoon so make reservations or get there early. The WiFi works great, am using it right now to do this rating!! It is a little rustic but not a bad place for the price.
This park is beautiful!! The entrance alone is awesome. A beautiful waterfall greets you along with rose gardens. The entrance is larger than a lot of parks! The thing that we really liked is they had late arrival spots right in the front so they wouldn't disturb the other guests. There were lampost at each site along with wide grassy spaces and picnic tables. The wifi actually worked!! There is a playground for kids and the ice is free. At least the first bag is, and 50 cents after that. The staff is friendly and they escort you to your spot and help with hooking up if you need it. They are adding another 25 spots and have room to expand more if needed. Too bad this isn't a destination park. We would have stayed more than one night.
This is a nice park in the trees which we appreciated because it was 87 degrees when we were here. We were told it was unseasonable hot for this time of year. The owners were friendly and helpful and didn't require a credit card until you checked out! How unheard of is that!! It is right on the road which could be an issue for noise. The worst thing about this place are the mosquitos. They are terrible!! So if you don't want to get bit, don't even come to Glacier Park. They are really bad everywhere. But because the people here are so nice, I would stay here again. The wifi is currently not working at all spaces in the park, but is at this one because I asked for a spot where it did. Owner said the winter knocked it down and she has to get on the ladder to fix it. But this spot, #10, works just fine.
This was a very nice park. The owners are working very hard to get all the sites ready for the up coming summer season. They are putting in new services and cement patios. The staff are all very friendly and want you to be happy. The pool and spa are nice. The sites are adequate in size and all have a little cement patio with a picnic table. The spots along the North fence back up to a golf course. There are nice views of the Mission Mountain range. These people just can't do enough to make your stay a good one. We would stay here again.
If you are a light sleeper, then this park is not for you! The park itself is large, the sites are adequate and there are a few that face the river. However, the lumber mill across the river runs from 5:30 to 5:30 and is very noisy. The beep beep beep from the back up signal alone is enough to drive you crazy. There is also traffic noise from the two roads close by. The clerk at the desk was nice enough. The office is a mess, needs to be cleaned up. I think the price is also too high for this park. If the lumber mill was gone, I would give this park a higher rating.
This place is a zoo!!! We arrived in the afternoon and paid for 2 nights. Upon finding our assigned spot, we were greeted with "party central" and decided to go on down the road. People were crammed in everywhere like sardines. Loud music was playing everywhere. The hosts reeked of cigarette smoke as did the office. They have a sign in the office there are no refunds, so we didn't even try to get our money back. A lesson learned--drive through the park before paying. It cost us $80 and we went down the road!!!
This park was a huge disappointment! It was old and dirty. The spots looked like they hadn't been cleaned or raked in years. They advertise pull through spots but they only have 2 and they charge an extra $4.00 for them. The electric hook-up was hanging on the box and wouldn't support running both our A/C and microwave at the same time. They say they have wifi in their ad, but they told us after checking in they didn't have it. There is no TV reception here at all!! Big trucks run the road all night and it is very noisy as the road is only yards from the park. We wouldn't stay here again. Go down the road a bit to Benbow. There is a nice park there.
I agree with all the other reviews. However, there are some things you need to know. The wifi is $3.00 a day, even if you have paid for the most expensive site in the park, as we did. After you pick the cost of the site you wish, they put it in the computer and it goes by rotation. So you get what they give you. The last guy in gets the best spot, at least in our case. We paid for an ocean view and got the spot that was marginal, while the next 2 people got the better view spots. Not sure I would spend that kind of money again for that kind of treatment.
This park was an oasis in the desert!! The park was designed as a mobil home park so there is lots of room between rigs. There are mobile homes throughout the park. It is nothing frilly but we thought it very nice. The people in the office were very nice--just "good ol' boys". It was so quiet at night it hurt your ears. This is a great place to spend the night while traveling across country. We would stay here again, especially for the price!
This is a nice little park for an over night stay. It is clean and well taken care of. The sites are level and paved. There is traffic noise as it is next to the freeway but seems to be minimal at night. For 20 bucks it is hard to beat!! There is a wonderful restaurant across the street called Flying Pigs Bar-B-Q that has to die for ribs. Plus they deliver to your site. Ribs, beans, coleslaw and garlic toast all for $20. One dinner was enough for two of us. We would stay here again.
This park is abandoned!! We pulled in here late in the day looking for a place for the night. It is obvious it has been closed for quite a while. Weeds were two feet high and dry and dirty. No one in the office. Don't bother stopping here. There are no other RV parks in this town, at least none that we could find and the locals didn't know of any, either.
This RV park is a mess!!! We pulled in to our spot and tried to hook up. The utility box fell apart when we opened it. The cable TV hook up was simply a wire coming out of the ground. The whole park is run down and dirty. The "full service" store is almost empty. There are a lot of full timers that live here in all sorts of RV's. What a mess!! We asked for a refund, which was given, and we went down the road. Woodalls' gave this a high rating?? How long since they have been here??
This is a nice park. However, the site we had was very hard to get our rig level. There was a lot of traffic noise from the highway that was fairly close. The sites are large and there are a lot of trees and grass. The people are very friendly. This park caters to adults. We only stayed one night here as they did not have WiFi.
This is a very nice park. The people are very friendly and are eager to please. The spaces are adequate and big enough for large rigs with numerous pop outs. There are many trees that provide shade and makes you feel like you are in the forest. This park is close to all the attractions but is very quiet. There is a train track across the road but doesn't run at night and the road noise is minimal. The WiFi works very well here. We would stay here again.
This park is over rated. We pulled into the office area and there was a note on the door telling you which sites have water, which have sewer, etc. There was no one in the office. We drove through the park and decided not to stay here. It was really noisy from the freeway that was above it and the busy street in front of it. The park looked like it needed lots of TLC!!
This park was highly over rated by the other campers. The traffic noise was so bad it was like trying to sleep in the pits at a NASCAR race!! The sites were not level and we had to move to several sites before finding a spot we could use. We would not recommend this park to anyone. There is another park at an exit before this one going East. Had we known about it we would have gone there for the night.
This is a pretty park with lots of big trees for shade and lots of grass. The people in the office were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the traffic noise is terrible here. The park is surrounded on all sides by freeways. We were told the noise would diminish at night--not so! We would not camp here again.
