This is our favorite park in Alberta. The sites are private, the playground is a great spot. There are several hiking trails in the campground and along the river. The showers are clean. The loops D & E are best to stay in for privacy / shade. There is a active amphitheater and children's program here during the week / on weekends. I highly recommend this park.
This park is large and very close to a great beach. The sites are smaller, but private. The bathroom / showers were very clean. We did not locate the playground (only one night) but told there is one. If I stayed again, I would try to get off the main road into the sites as it is quite busy. Enjoyed it. Would recommend.
This park was a great place for us to view Vancouver from. It's very clean and the staff are very friendly. The pool was kept immensely clean, the showers / bathrooms were also in good working order and cleaned regularly. Laundry was cheap ($2.00 per load) and the playground was great for kids. Would recommend requesting site close to playground as kids had a blast. The only reason this isn't a 10 and something to consider, the noise of the Lion's Gate was hard to adjust to. In a tent trailer, it was quite loud. Bring earplugs!
Two words - don't stay. This park was a huge disappointment. Sites were covered in garbage. Pool was not heated sufficiently. We were originally put onto site with water leak and caution tape & had to request a move. Playground in front area was like a bad yard sale, full of broken toys. When I complained the girl at the desk basically said "when we get to it" and eventually moved some of it out. No milk at camp store (all weekend!). Huge pile of garbage (old refrigerators, boxes, junk) visible from pool area. Serious upkeep is required in bathrooms, sewage smell was off/on from our site and disgusting. This is by far, the worst park I have ever stayed in.
