Very nice upscale park. Lots of amenities, such as, tennis court, shuffleboard, pickleball, swimming pools, hot tubs, horseshoes, basketball, and lots of planned indoor activities as well. Situated between groves of lemon trees and orange trees, park staff for the most part are very friendly. Downside would be try not to be parked next to the main road. Constant traffic all hours, marine corp air station right next door, so jets and helicopters are buzzing right overhead all day long. When temps get below 40 degrees the neighboring lemon and orange groves turn on huge fans so at night it also sounds like helicopters hovering overhead all night. If it were not for the constant noise, I would have rated this park higher.
Very nice park with huge 40 X 70 lots, landscaped, very clean, and the personnel were extremely nice and accommodating. They have a nice dog trail to walk your dogs. After looking at several other parks in the area, this is by far the nicest one. Lots to see and do in the area. Has beautiful mountain scenery surrounding the entire campground. Added bonus is it's a Passport America Park. Will be back.
Very easy access off I-10 . Park as a whole is very clean and well maintained. Grounds are spotless. We had the largest site in the park , that is why it cost more, had access to gas grill and private table and chairs, but did not get to utilize much because of cold temperatures. This would make a great place to stay for a couple of days, but there are no activities in the park. Laundry room small, but dog walk area, and pet playground was a nice bonus.Excellent views of the valley and mountains. I would stay here again for a couple of days, but no more. We stayed here in a fifth wheel.
Park staff very helpful and very nice. The sites however are close together but will work for overnight stay. Would not want to make it a destination spot. There wasn't much to do in the surrounding towns. The big plus for this park was the pet playground. Totally fenced so you could let the dogs run and you can sit and watch them play.
Small park but very clean. Wide spaces between spots. Very quiet. Water view of Lake Lafon. The man who owns this campground is very friendly, and easy to get along with. Only drawback I can see about this park is it does not have a laundry mat nor cable hook up. Does get a few channels. It does however has an excellent wi-fi reception. Would stay here again.
Could not pull up this site on the net. Needed a campground close to South Fork Ranch. First of all, receptionist we spoke to claimed she had never heard of South Fork Ranch. We had to pay a $30 deposit before arriving to hold spot. Once we got there, we found sites very close together, trash everywhere, dogs running around loose, bars on the laundry windows, over all not what we expected. Did not stay. Most sites taken by permanent residents. Very trashy. Would not recommend.
