This is the second time we've stayed at this park and we've had no issues with the debit/credit card. The park is well kept and the front desk people are very nice. You do get breakfast buffet coupons, which turned out to be a nice meal. This park is across the street from the casino and we had a great time here. We made a point of coming back this way so we could stay here. Last, but not least, the price is right.
I would have given this a 10 rating, except I thought it was a little pricey. The park is nice for an overnight stay. Very clean and the owner is very nice. This is the second time we've stayed at this park as we were passing through. There seems to be a lot of contract people here, but it was very quiet and well kept.
Absolutely beautiful park. Very well kept, lots are good size and you have the lovely mountains in the distance. There are trees and shrubs so you feel like you have a little privacy. We would definitely stay here again. The only negatives I have are, as one other reviewer noted, no pool and the one fitness room was very hot and the one piece of equipment I wanted to use was out of order. It is near the freeway, but that didn't bother us at all. If you can get a spot that faces the mountains, it's gorgeous.
This wasn't a bad park and for what we were here for, it served its purpose. Total concrete, very close together, no where to park the tow except in everyone's way. We were one row from the ocean, but it was so foggy and overcast that it didn't make any difference. If I were going back to the San Francisco area for different reasons, I would probably look to another park. This one is expensive!
We had been traveling from San Francisco and it was so darn hot and we were tired. I accidentally found this RV park on the GPS and we decided to give it a try. How beautiful! And cool weather. It was like a breath of fresh air (literally). The park is very well kept, with lots of lawn and the lake. My only negative was the maintenance people start early to mow and do the upkeep. I know they have to do it sometime, so it's not really a negative.
We went by other reviews to choose this park because of its close proximity to downtown. We were not disappointed. The park is very nice and the owner was very helpful. It is a small park, but does have a pool, laundry, good wi-fi and lots of shade trees. The best part is the bus stop right outside the park, which takes you downtown and there are no traffic hassles. Seniors are $1.00/day for an all day pass. There are also lots of stores within walking distance. We would certainly camp here again if ever in the area.
We were stranded in Roswell and at the last minute had to find a campground. The office was very nice and even with the UFO convention going on, found us a spot to stay. The feed lot next door does hit you depending on the wind, but it was a decent place with laundry and picnic table.
My husband and I are contractors working in south Texas and chose this RV park based on previous reviews. And I'm glad we did. It's a great place. Although pretty vacant in the summer, you can tell this is a hoppin' place in the wintertime. The sites are good size, there is a nice laundry facility (a/c, tv, etc.), a large rec room with pool tables and a few exercise machines. There is a nice outdoor pool also. There are very limited shady spots (2) and we were fortunate enough to get one. The manager was very helpful.
After what we had been staying in, this park was like the Hilton. Granted, it doesn't have any amenities, but it's nice. The camp hosts were most helpful. We were working in the area and it appeared that several of the other RV'ers were doing the same. It felt safe and secure and we had no qualms about being gone from the RV. The sites are set on grass and it rained a lot, but we didn't have any problems.
If you like hiking in a beautiful atmosphere, this is the place to camp. You have to drive up a mountain to get there, but the views are spectacular. The campsite itself is heavily wooded, but we had no problem getting TV; not so good with the phone and internet. We actually had sewer at our site, which is unusual for a state park. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely camp here again.
We were so sorry that we came in late afternoon and had to leave first thing in the morning. What a lovely park! You do have to go through some different areas to get there, but it's a gem. You might want to have a water regulator with you. We arrived after the office was closed, but the park ranger was so nice and made us feel at home. We would certainly return to this campground.
We were a little dubious about being so close to the freeway, but that was short-lived. Campground is very nice. The bathroom and showers were sparkling clean. There is a little house that has several pieces of exercise equipment with a TV. As other have mentioned, there is a fenced-in doggy area. The nature trail was nice also. It was a little pricey, but we had cable and pull-through and sewer at the site. That was worth it to me. The staff was very nice and we would definitely camp there again.
This state park is gorgeous! We camped on the banks of Lake Murray. The area is very wooded and natural. The park has two areas to camp - A and B. From a review we chose B and it's the better of the two in my opinion. The roads are paved and good for walking and/or bicycling. We will certainly do a return trip here.
This is a very lovely, out in the country RV park. It is gated and the owner (Kim) was extremely nice and helpful. We came in after dark and woke up to a great view of the lake. We walked the whole property, which is part full-time and part overnight camping. The full-time area is not your usual run-down permanent mobile homes; they are very nicely kept up. The property is pristine and there is every effort made to keep the area in its natural state. The office also contains a store where you can pick up limited food items.
