We stayed in space #62 in the newer, upper area. We did have 50 A and our satellite worked fine. Laundry and restrooms were very nice. There is a small book exchange in the office. A previous review said not to miss the restaurant at Oceanside called Roseanne's so we went for lunch. It was great plus the beach there is lovely. Several people took advantage of the crabbing that is available in the park. They do quite a lively business and will cook them for you. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again. One minus is the road just outside the park is VERY rough, so take it slow.
Previous post stated poor water quality. We found the water to be good. Post also stated bad laundry. They have just installed new machines that are quite wonderful. Their Wi-Fi is Tengo but was free and worked very well. They have cable TV, picnic tables, a nice book exchange and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative was that they have sprinklers that WILL leave spots on your coach daily. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and will return.
Paved interior roads, most sites are concrete pads but some are gravel. Pull throughs were long and level. Cable TV was good, water tasted fine and the pressure was good. Electric power was good. Nice store with gas, diesel and propane available on site. Clerk who checked us in was pleasant. Wireless is for the most part only available at the office, but works fine there. Bathrooms/showers and laundry must be accessed by a key requiring a $5 deposit, which is fine but they were only moderately clean. Would stay here again.
This is a small but charming park right off hwy 95. We have a 40ft MH/towing a pickup and did not want to unhook so the manager led us to a pull through and said we could just hang into the space behind us and he wouldn't put anyone there. He was very friendly. I did a load of wash in the small but spotless laundry and took a nice shower in the LOVELY, tile family style restrooms. The WiFi was not working that night, he was on the phone with his provider. Traffic was fairly heavy but we did not find noise to be a problem. Good gravel, very level spots. Would definitely stay again.
As others have stated, pull throughs are long, level and well-graveled. Interior roads are paved. Wi-Fi is free and good. Restrooms, showers and laundry are clean and neat but are a bit far from campsites. There is a Petro Travel Plaza (with an Iron Skillet restaurant) within walking distance. Our cost reflected our Escapees membership discount. Nice, quiet and well-kept. Tables at sites. Some sites could use a bit of tree-trimming.
Positives = long/wide/level pull thrus, nice gravel interior roads, free Wi-Fi = great, cable TV = good, small but nice laundry, book exchange and great pricing. Negatives = only 2 bathroom/shower but they were neat & clean, no tables, trains are close but the noise is not too bad, small gift shop but no food items.
As others have stated, access road is very rough but OK if you go very slow. Pull-throughs #1-7 are long, level and no trees in the way. Other sites are terraced into hill above. Some are level with trees not a problem but others are unlevel with tree interference. Bathrooms/showers/laundry are older but clean and neat. Staff is friendly, park is quiet with a nice view. Nice store. Pool looked nice. Wireless is free and a little slow but OK. No cable TV and we were unable to get anything on antenna.
We enjoyed our 2 day stay (Sat & Sun) and would have rated it higher except for the water sprinklers that come on in early AM. Since the water is hard, it had to be wiped from the coach and tow vehicle ASAP. Also they state not responsible for items left on grass/patio that get wet. They do give you fresh cookies at check-in and staff are friendly and helpful. The weekend activities (reasonably priced) include an evening BarBCue (we did not attend) and an AM breakfast (we went and it was super). Because of the sprinklers, we would be reluctant to return.
